IFR Practice With A Safety Pilot

For this episode, I was asked about training a pilot can do without a CFI. Having a safety pilot join you on a flight is a perfect way to double the value of the flight. The safety pilot helps to keep you out of trouble, lower the workload if you want, and create learning opportunities for both of you. And best of all, both of you can log PIC time.
I'd love to hear how you stay IFR proficient, or just pilot proficient. Do you fly with a safety pilot? When flying with other pilots, do you take on all the PIC duties or do you share the responsibility and divide up the flying tasks?

Very good episode, but what happened to the inset view of instruments? Would have enjoyed a view of the glideslope and other instruments.

The software killed my laptop. Had to buy a new one. It is unsupported. So I bought an app that will provide the gauges. The other option is to buy a camera that only shows the PFD. May be the best solution in the end.
