From personal experience after being with the same woman for 40 plus years and she decides to go is hard to take especially when the finances were affected badly for our retirement but she could not be told, she has health probs at 64 is still working but she hates it, I told her recently that she did not think it through, we are getting older not younger, one of her health probs is depression and won't get treatment unfortunately, now I have no house and renting again after owning the house we both worked hard to pay for, back where I started, I am 67yrs old, too late to start again.

Did some good damage to myself in the day chasing a girl for years. When they're into you, they'll forgive your perceived shortcomings and make it easy. If they don't make it easy, I agree, walk. There are very few absolutes in life, but one is to never chase a woman. I realized the the friend zone is impossible to get beyond.
It's damn near impossible to get out the friend zone. You need to be polarizing and not overly friendly. Show balls, tease them , be careful with too many compliments. Be a challenge. Make them work for you. You're the seller not the buyer. The only way to get out of the friendzone is to ignore her, work on yourself and wait for her to message first. When she does, be cool, a bit aloof, don't message so much.
