      Thanks bro. I'm trying to fix up my small issues that I've got before I go stage 3 because I don't wanna push the car if there's issues ygm. I've had this dodgy mpg issue when the car runs fine but drinks fuel like crazy it's had me stuck for about 6 months but I think I've finally got to the source of it😭

    Mine is a stage 420, I've put an Audi A1 caxa engine cover on. Looks sick 😜

    Have also thought about getting them R8 coils!

      😂😂 thanks man. I've got alot more coming aswell. If you're going to go stage 2 or higher then I'd definitely recommend them

      Oh😅 well check spark plugs first, then coils and after that if there's still a misfire it might be that you need a carbon clean

    My 1.4 t is horrible on cold starts and is lumpy at idle the intake valves are caked in carbon could be the same for you bro easy to take off enough to get a cheap endoscope down there

    My A4 2010 has the MTM tune. From 180 bhp to 303 bhp. Is the R8 coil a good idea?

      It depends on the engine. Most 2.0 tfsi engines don't need it. If you're not having any issues then I'd say you don't need them. Check with r tech performance they'd probably be the best people to ask

      @@t.h.f1085 Tengo un a3 1.4 tfsi caxa y estoy pensando en hacer stage 1, se siente mucho a 150hp o mejor esperar i ponerle turbo k03 y intercooler luego pasar directamente a stage 3. primero tengo que arreglar el bimasa del dsg y cambiar la bomba de gasolina ya que me traquetea en ralenti! un saludo gente aficionada al motor ;)

    Hey, what did you replace the PCV hose with? mine cracked as well when attempting to remove coils.

      I used a silicone vaccum pipe to replace that plastic one that cracks

    Where'd you get the adapter plate from mate? Google comes up empty for me, especially where I live in the netherlands. Is the plate absolutely necessary to keep them in place?
    Edit: Turns out that you don't necessarily need the expensive adapter (tho it looks nice), you can take the old original coils, and wedge a thin plastic film underneath the rubber seal, all around, then wedge it all the way under there, then you can wrench the rubber seal off with your hand pretty easily, since the plastic reduced the friction between the rubber seal and metal shield.. (careful not to tear it)
    Then you can put the old rubber seal on the r8 coil at about the same height it originally was, meaning the r8 coil will stand out about 30mm or so, but the rubber seal will keep it sturdy in place and prevent leakage..
    So far I've had no issues, no misfiring, and all cylinders work, it's a bit of extra work but it does save you about 200 bucks

      Check out @midnightperformance._ on insta they should be able to send one out to you and yeah without it they'll just be sitting there with big gaps around them. I think they'll hold but I think foreign matter might fall down the hole then

      @@Fizzy.g I ended up taking the old rubber seals off of the og coil packs and sliding them onto the new ones at the height of the original, so it closes the gap and keeps them in place, so far it's been working great, tho it doesn't look as good visually as an adapter plate, also it's kinda finicky, but it's functional

      @@adamdafer9637 wasn’t too bad tbh, depending on which car/engine you have the far left coil can be pretty fiddly to do, but not like this on all of them, and other then that pretty easy, just be gentle with the connector heads as they can be a bit brittle inside- and you should get away with not needing more

      Yeah that's going to be soon. The plan is to fix the smaller issues before fitting the bigger parts bevi don't want to be pushing the car so hard when it has these little issues ygm

    Hi fizzy I'm from South Africa, my 1.4tsi has forged internals with stock water cooled intercooler and I also have a front mount intercooler,
    I have broken 2 stock turbos and 1 hybrid.
    I have now put in a garret gt28 hybrid turbo.
    I am adding r8 coil packs now cause if I set the boost to anything over 1.7 bar boost it misfires.
    In S. A IT'S hard to get that adapter plate. I need to fabricate it. If possible please send me dimensions of the coil over adapter plate please

      Thanks man. Yeah these will avoid you having any misfires when tuning the car. So if you're looking to go stage 2 or higher then I'd recommend doing this however if you're not looking to push the engine then no you won't need these.

      Yeah you can do it. They dont need a tune to be used.
