what pedal is fredrik playing? its hard to tell if its a volume pedal or like...a rocking footswitch that acts like a vibrato bar? I'm really confused by what I'm seeing him do with it and the sounds he's making with it
If I remember correctly he moves the delay time making it glitch and change pitch. Like a delay pedal would do if one fiddles with the time knob while delay is on and trails are heard. Sounds weird but cool tho!

I love this Fredrik's custom Ibanez. So minimalistic and solid, pure monolith. Very interesting which scale length on this one, maybe 26.5? And what kind of bridge he used, i know that is Ibanez edge tremolo, but fixed this or not. I really want someday custom replica of this model but with reverse headstock.

It's just a delay effect where it jumps between a short delay time (set at the heel of the expression) and a slightly higher time at the toe. You really just need to feel out the settings to get the right warble.

It controls the delay parameters. I've been trying to nail this for years. Only 1 guy has and he has a video of it on Instagram. He achieved it perfectly.

Yeah it's an expression pedal set up to do a sweep between a short delay time and one that's ever so slightly longer. Gives that warble effect. Can typically be done with modellers (like the line 6 stuff or axe fx which meshuggah have obviously used for years) Basically, short delay time set at the heel and a slightly longer time set at the toe (just enough of a difference to cause that warble effect)

@ari-pekkaheikkila3907 I do it with a HX effects but it can be done with any HX unit I think, or any unit where a parameter of an effect can be assigned to an expression pedal. You couldn't really do it with analog pedals because you'd need to be able to control a parameter with an expression pedal. There was an expression pedal called a Third Hand which you could mechanically attach to a knob of any pedal to control it, but those have been discontinued ages ago

the main pedal is Digitech ricochet and then he uses an expression pedal to adjust the timing on it giving it that tremoly sound
