  • Nobody would have bet that, at this point in the 21st century, Ferris wheels would be experiencing their best moment since a certain Mr. Ferris decided to open Pandora's box. But that's exactly what's happening. Humans have never stopped being fascinated by heights and adventure, and giant Ferris wheels offer us all that from a comfortable, safe space suitable for all audiences. Yet, they still have that hint of uncertainty that can make our nervous systems release just enough adrenaline to make the ride more than just enjoying good views.
But if that wasn't enough, what's being designed and built lately is already a spectacle in itself, just with its imposing appearance. And that can only make us eager for new projects that surpass what we've already seen.
That's why in this video I wanted to take a look at all those projects that made history by reaching new heights and innovation, and have turned us into 'wheel addicts'. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
    See you soon!
This video is specially dedicated to my friend @stbrian1861 , who came up with the idea.

Many Thanks for the recognition My Friend 😊
      This is Exceptionally Well Done.
It's a shame the NYC's Staten Island never got to finish the New York Wheel that was under construction (would've been 630 feet tall (192 meters).
On the bright side, Locally in Miami, I have the Skyviews Miami Observatory Wheel in Bayside Marketplace located in Downtown Miami. It stands at 200 feet tall (60 meters) AND about 250 miles to the North (418 km), I have the Orlando Eye standing at about 400 ft tall (122 meters).
      Thanks Again My Friend 🤗

@@stbrian1861No, you know there's no need to thank me. It was my absolute pleasure. Speaking of Ferris wheels, riding the Orlando Eye must be great, because it's a serious piece of kit. But the one I'd really like to ride is the High Roller. It must be amazing, and now with the MSG Sphere, it's starting to make me want to take a trip to Las Vegas. As for Staten Island, I don't really understand how they could invest so much money and then let the project go down the drain. It really beats me.

Farris wheels are pretty underrated imo, they’re pretty unique in their own way, along with roller coasters…

Yes, I'm thinking of putting it in Manhattan, and that way I'll be able to take some more time to explain the project.

@@Magnitudx Did the video say it was going to be in Seoul? Don’t know if I’ve ever even seen the Seoul skyline - maybe it would be cool in its urban context to see how it would look there? Great work. 🙂👍🏼

@@_Breakdown Sure, friend @_Breakdown, that would be great. But I have a problem with Asian countries in general, they don't usually have 3D elevation in Google Earth, and on Envato, which is the stock video provider where I have an account, there's not much about it either to be able to mount it with camera tracking. But I'll take a look, see if there's a possibility.

@@Magnitudx wow - I didn’t know that about some Asian countries - but I have seen that in the US even - - in some wealthy/exclusive areas are burred out + don’t have street views on google-maps. PS - - Falling Water house (inside + out) would be a great animation (famous architect built it on top of a waterfall in Pennsylvania I believe). Great stuff! 😎👍🏼🕊

@@_Breakdown That house is amazing. And as a project, it really attracts me a lot. I'm going to see how much material I can get of plans, documentation and images, and if I have enough, I'll get to it. It may take me some time, but if I can do it, I will.
