Nice to see another UK guy in to FPV...👍👍 The Nazgul performs great but is a nightmare to repair for a beginner. The side plates look great and keep the stack clean, but they just get in the way. You have to strip the frame down just to replace a motor.. Bit tricky to do if you are out in the field and need a quick fix..

I don't own any dji to compare, but I do own nazgul. I'm not (yet) regretting buying it, but D-A-M-N that learning curve is r-e-a-l-l-y high, and getting info is r-e-a-l-l-y hard. Before buying - I guess any drone aside of DJI - reassess your technical knowledge and reconsider the amount of time you want to spend on watching youtube videos trying to find missing know-how. For context: I'd consider basic window OS administration as trivial, basic administering of any modern linux distro as easy. This stuff is very similar to state of linux at year 1999 for someone without access to internet or someone 'who knows'. Rather hard. Very VERY far from plug&play.

betaflight is the same with everything. Just have the ports in the right spot, setup the rest of the stuff...it's not hard once you get into it a little.

i got the geprc mark 5 which is the geprc version of the evoque it doesnt have the sideblade cover but its a blast to fly very smooth and they sell it with 03 air unit too im to poor to go digital the but im thinking about HDZero since its cheaper to get into and you googles dont track you which isnt needed in eu yet
Newbee question : Please tell us how did you configured the ports on Betaflight, I habe got a dji Controller and the nazgul v3 I have connected everything but not able to set up my controller (nothing change when I move the sticks)
How did you set your buttons though? I have my evoque bound to both the controller and goggles.. but the buttons don't do anything.. Is there something I need to do that every video keeps forgetting to mention? In betaflight in the receiver area nothing moves from the controller at all yet it is bound. What am I missing??
Great video.... One question, i have Dji FPV and Dji Avata.. When recording, Dji FPV can record the sound but I can't get the sound on avata. On your video, looks you can get sound recording using O3. What i know is O3 and avata is same.. Do any specific settings on O3 to record the sound?

TBH you could probably put a really big battery on there if you were not concerned about the best possible freestyle performance or carrying a gopro. Some long range props and you could be in the air for 30 minutes!

Just getting in to buying a BNF drone... i have the DJI controller 2 and going to buy a dji O3 bnf 5" drone to connect it with... my question is, can i buy a BNF drone with lets say TBS Crossfire, and dissregard that reciever and just bind it directly with the DJI o3? i was thinking of either getting the ESLR or TBS on the drone in case i wanted to switch later on to another controller. will that work? or am i forced to use TBS if i order the O3 with the TBS reciver on? or will i have both options?
Why disarm and drop (dangerous as it can fall fast, break and hurt someone) over a soft landing? Genuine question, I’m new to the hobby so there might be a reason why you recommend drop. Thanks!
In a situation you should make a call whether it's worse for the quad to be out of control and potentially fly off and hit something else or whether it's better to just get it down ASAP obviously you shouldn't be flying FPV drones near people 😁
I do recommend to use a real remote, the DJI RC2 isnt that very precise, stopped using it when training in sim as I would get wrong muscle memory for buttons and such. I got the Evoque with GPS with ELRS version and bought the Radio Master BOXER, which made me fly in the sim SOOOO much better and hovering was so much easier. First time i did a LOS hover test, in acro mode, it was so easy to control, i surprised myself, even easier then in the sim.
Yes the shorter throws on the DJI RC sticks would make it more difficult to learn on than a full size radio like the boxer, as I say I've been flying sims a lot on the steamdeck which has gaming style sticks with very short throws so I am used to very tiny stick movements it feels more natural so me. Everyone is different.😁
In general fpv drones will drop out the sky on a failsafe as they don't generally have return to home or GPS rescue modes. Failsafe is usually triggered when the radio control link is lost, not the video signal.
Can anyone help? I cant find a video for this question. Would you recommend the Chimera 7 Pro O3 over the Nazgul Evoque F6 V2 6S HD if i was interested in long distances and longer air time? i i would be using the Commando 8 ELRS 868/915MHz RF 1000mW controller with the dji goggles 2. I was having similar thoughts and I ended up getting the Bob57 as my first ‘proper’ quad after learning on Avata. Still plan on getting an Evoque F5 DC 03 & a Cinelog 25V2 03 at some point but the Bob57 is a wicked starting point if you’re flying big outdoor areas and planning to do more cinematic fpv rather than freestyle.
Great video, but be mindful of where your camera and mic are. When flying, you have your back facing the camera, which kills the vocal clarity, making it harder to hear what you have to say.
If you want to go cheap FPV isn't going to last too long for you. Either way good video but that DJI FPV remote is a joke. It's like using a steering wheel out of a barbie Jeep - compared to a real full size steering wheel. TX16S for life. Plus you can put a big tittie spash screen on it.

It runs the O3, from DJI, that is compatible with the remote, I see no problem
