    Hey, you are using different method for transfer mechanism. (Is it electric tranfer)

      Capillary is different. May you tell me the difference.?

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Capillary based method is ultra slow 🐌 . Hence electroblot. But the truth is no body in this world use Northern blot for research . Northern blot is alive only in text books. A cousin technique microarray is also dead. All of there heroic deeds are in textbooks.

    With northern blot we can understand if the gene is expressed or not but can we make comments about the amount of the expression? İn another video i saw it was telling nothern is used for quantitive analiyses...

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes some quantification can be done but is a backdated technique, nobody use Northern blot these days . Alternative to Northern blot is real-time qPCR
