Thank you! This is my first video. I'll do my best to get a driving video uploaded soon. First, the wiring contacts on that horn need an attitude adjustment! It's all part of the fun.
I had an old tractor on the farm that crank started. In the winter, for the next mornings start, I would kill the engine with the choke to gas up the cylinders. In cold weather the gasoline wouldn't evaporate overnight so it started on the first pull.
Aqui no Brasil nós anos de 1960 ainda tinha carro desse modelo não me lembro do nome mais aqui muito chamava de charanga mais é um lindo carro antigo e o motor a manivela
Probably. These cars had an old version of distributor ignition which does require some battery power to operate. I don't think turning the engine the way he did would generate enough electrical to run the ignition system
When it comes to breaking arms, in my experience, it's all been in the ignition timing, but your preference is certainly valid for an extra precaution.
Why don't you explain what you are doing to start the car instead of letting us guess. All those levers and switches. would be nice to get a walk through.
I've never had an issue as long as I have the ignition timing where it "needs to be". Thumb in the palm is my biggest measure of safety apart from that. As long as my arm isn't in the path of that crank and it's timed correctly, I don't feel unsafe with this method. You're not the first to mention this. I think it's a valid point but not one that I personally use.
I’m proud of you , young fella, you handed the crank properly, open palm.
I wish, I could see more Model A cars in real life. It's credible after nearly 100 years old, these cars have survive.
May GOD fulfil ur wishes.
What a Beauty! Thanks for sharing. I hope you have some more videos especially of you driving it. I'm going to check now.

Unfortunately, not yet, though I have driven it in 10 states and put approximately 10k on it over about 5 years. It's just a driver!

Don't hv to worry about battery down.
Does it need a battery to start?

That's how my '29 sounds..
АВТО - 🤔☺👍👍👍👍👍
Warning: NEVER use RIGHT ARM. use left arm only and without thumb wrapped on crank.. less on a bad day your arm is broken.

@@Joshkthomas Thanks for responding. I was wondering why you did not use your left hand since it is much safer.
Thanks for sharing nice job.
