    Is it just me or does anyone else enjoy the land base videos more than the boat videos? I can totally relate to the style of fishing!

    Flukes catch everything in my experience. Definitely the best soft plastic jerk bait of all time. The weightless fall is deadly cause the tail just subtly wiggles and fish can't stand it. Also another reason why I like them is they cast far rigged weightless.

    It’s funny because I don’t use flukes too often during the season where I live(NY). It’s a very short season for superflukes, but if I had the option of one bait only, it’s a very difficult toss up. And it would most certainly be between a paddle tail and a fluke. I guess where I live, it would have to be paddle tail. But if I lived in a warmer water environment, I would most definitely go with the flukes.

    Nice tarpon 👏🏼👏🏼 Definitely tough to choose between a paddle tail and fluke.. they mimic the same thing but are very different in many ways. Thanks honestly gotta go with the paddle tail, specifically the Exoswims, as they require less technique than a fluke. The twitch pause retrieve can be tricky to master where a paddle tail you just reel it. Another sick vid!

    OMG, loved this one Brother ,you just can't beat a fluke for versatility ,but a Paddle tail shines too ,if I could only have 1 it would be Paddle tail and pinch off the tail when you need to use it as a jerk shad style (fluke).... Ahhh I may be onto something ,Thanks for sharing ,and Blessings to you and your beautiful Family.

    Great fish Lawson! Especially for the back waters! Maybe closer to 15 to 20lbs max. tho...I would choose the paddle tail over the fluke as its a bit more versatile and you can use it in a few different conditions and methods...Best fishing youtuber on TH-cam!!! Fish on!

    Had me kinda nervous there. That tarpon was practically calling the gators over, plus you're splash-dancing in the mud. THEN you turn your back to the water, YIKES! I'm like, "Probly got 50 gators inbound! Where's his gun?!" 😬😄. But you're a pro, so no worries👍

    a fluke style bait will always be the GOAT IMO. if it eats a minnow it'll eat a fluke
    fresh or salt a darting/wounded baitfish style lure works. and you can get a 10pck at walmart for less than 3 bucks 🤷‍♂️ easy and effective

      @russellkasprzyk4934 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@artificialslinger9730 way too floaty imo. Don’t get me wrong I’ve caught fish on them, but takes a little more weight to make them look natural…and I can take a zoom, use no weight, or a 1/16, and get the same effect in a way more slimline package.

    • @johnbracewell3700
      @johnbracewell3700 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@artificialslinger9730 I actually bought a 50 pack of D.O.A fluke style baits and they've been great so far, they're slightly oily feeling because of the scent they use but over all are tougher than the wally world zoom flukes are are the same price if you buy a bulk bag 😅 come in some good colors too

    • @johnbracewell3700
      @johnbracewell3700 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@artificialslinger9730 they seem great for catching large numbers of smaller fish, they don't cast great being so small tho.
      Quick story, one year I was walking the bank sight fishing bass on bed, could NOT get them to bite. I kept seeing them chase these tiny minnows off the bed so I took a zoom tiny fluke (these are very small flukes) wacky rigged it, and when very slightly twitched looked exactly like a minnow pulsing when it dies.
      that thing made them bedding bass bite
      fished it with a small bream hook and it would sink very slow, I'd toss it on the bed and let it slowly sink and lightly shake the rod tip and it'd barley do this pulse trembling type action, something I'd never seen anyone else do and it sure worked that day.
