My Bichon Frise's first visit to the vet did not go well. However, since then, he has been a very good boy. He is nearly 8yrs old I have been trying to convince my wife to get a 2nd one. My wife introduced me to that breed having had a retriever previously, I am now a Bichon convert, they are fantastic little dogs the best watch dog I have ever had, enjoy your new family member.
Thank you! I agree that Bichon is excellent. Bennie is super friendly with human of all ages and he doesn’t bark that much and no hair shedding. He smiles and wags his tail all the time. We are so lucky to have him.
I dunno but I felt like the doctor was quite harsh with the little puppy even though he tried not to look like one to the extent that the poor thing was looking at him begging him for mercy!
Bennie was such a good boy! 💛 Getting his shot reminded me of my first beagle. When he got a shot he would do the sweetest but saddest thing. He would put his head between my upper arm and the side of my chest and hold perfectly still--not a sound, he didn't even wince when the needle went in. Then he would stay that way for about 20 seconds after the shot--perfectly still. I began to realize that it was less of a fear reaction than it was his way of comforting himself. Every time he did it it just broke my heart. He was like that, pretty calm, although definitely "beaglely" (our word for his silliness 😉) at times.

Sweetie, our bichon was a ‘hellion’ @ his first visit! Almost 1 year & still wound up like an 8 day clock!

È molto sano e ha ottenuto la sua terza vaccinazione inclusa la rabbia. I suoi molari non sono ancora usciti del tutto.
If this was a booster and this is Bennie's first visit, then did the breeder do the first set of shots? At what age did Bennie leave the breeder?
