- This week we’re working on another fun construction project in the RV before we head out on an EPIC road trip! But before we get started, we decided to have a little Halloween fun and visit a local pumpkin farm! 🎃 Our cabinets are coming together nicely and we’re finally feeling like we’re getting a handle on this woodworking stuff 🛠👷♀️👷♂️

My parents are Huge fans of you guys and are subscribers. They had purchased a 1978 Leprechaun prior to Covid and utilize your videos as a guide as their now in the process of gutting it due to all of the mold and water damage within the walls and flooring as amateurs. So, hopefully, it will clean up very nice as yours when it’s said and done 👍🥰 Great inspiration, guys 🤗
I am in the middle of an endless camper renovation myself, on an old travel trailer. I enjoy watching your videos for construction ideas and the positivity that you guys maintain through the process. Most of all, its comforting to know that I'm not the only person spending my life in the driveway fighting against aluminum skins, dry rot, and old wiring!

Random tip, for ease of storage, find Tupperware tubs that fit into the cabinets, so when you pull out the tub, it's much easier than digging around in an overhead cabinet. One of those genius ideas from mom back when we traveled a lot in the rv as kids. Clothes, toiletries, cleaning supplies, everything!

For future reference, that tipe of pumpkin can be baked faster and easier if you cut it in pieces and clin the insides before you put it in the oven. And now I really want pumpkin pie, so I'm going to make one. Super video guys, as always. Love you.
Cut it in half first and cut the cooking time down by half. You can then scrape the seeds out before hand and roast them separately for a lovely snack 😁
I agree, I cut in half & bake it open side down on °400 until easily pierced by a knife🔪🎃
We have LED lights and pressure switches on all of our lower kitchen cabinets and on each shelf in our pantry, and it's fantastic! You'll love it.

You two are adorable. If ya want to cut down the baking time of your pumpkin, cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, then turn it over skin side up in a baking pan and roast it 1 hour at 400.

Watch the weather/fire updates in Colorado--there are currently several really big (and some small) fires burning--so check before you go because a number of popular tourist spots are closed.

It's 11F in much of CO and snowing. I think the fires are not for long.
And now that the snow has fallen and hopefully put the fires out, there is a risk of flooding and erosion since there's no plants to keep the soil in place. Fires or not, it's not a great idea to be headed up to the rocky mountain national park area right now, unfortunately...
@@amac0190 Yeah, it's currently closed and both Grand Lake and Estes Park have mandatory evacuations. There are still other places to go in CO for sure, but need to be sure that no additional fires have flared up.

Well, next time, you should cut the pumpkin into parts, and the cooking time will be around 30min. And take out the seeds, and frie them on oil in a pan, don't bake them. (like sunflower's seeds). Usually there should be some metal at the back of the Leds for cooling and for isolation from the wooden parts. Think about it... And as others wrote: put in some proper insulation for noise and heat, befor doing anything else, later will be harder. Good luck!

Love the channel. Watch every one of Youre vids. But, when baking pumpkin, cut in half horizontally. Scoop out guys, turn each half upside down on baking sheet with tin foil liner. Bake until cooked through. Allow to cool and scoop out pumpkin meat. Make pie. Enjoy.

Suggestion, install the fridge backwards so that the door swings open towards the room. It'll make it easier to move what you need from the fridge to the counter top, you won't have to work around the door as much.
Hmm that’s true but for short people (me) it is incredibly hard to get a hold of those needed items. Hopefully there’s a counter across from the fridge.

You guys should use a barrier plastic between aluminum wall and wood. Just like a house uses before the outer layers.

I was always told to cut all pie pumpkins in half lightly cover with oil and then roast with the peel up.

That storm front was ridiculous. It was 84 here in St. Louis, then it went down to 64 after the storm came through. Twenty degree drop in just a few hours! The RV is looking great. Keep on keeping on, friends.
I'm in Missouri too. About 100 miles south of St. Louis. St. Louis went down to 52 at my sons place we were 84 at the same time. Then the cold front and rain got down to us. We had a 32 degree temperature drop as well. Freaky weather for sure. 🤔

Before you get to far ahead you'll want to consider insulation. Are you going to use spray foam or other form. Tryst me get it insulated now, then start building your cabinets and so forth.

Heads up on pumpkins, if you cut in half and scrape THEN bake it should go faster. I rub a little EVOO on the exposed flesh and baked open side down. :)

Quick note on baking gourds: if you cut them in half and seed them before they go in the oven, the cooking time will be much shorter. Place the cut side down on an oiled sheet pan. Added bonus: you can spread out the seeds and bake them too, for a crunchy snack. Add a little seasoned salt while they're still warm for added yummy.

pumpkin tip cut in half face down on a piece of parchment paper on cookie sheet. salt the pumpkin. takes less than an hour and scoop out. wallah

In the future, cut the pumpkin into halves or quarters, oil the inside and THEN roast with them skin side up. They should take more like 45 minutes to finish. 😉
