  • My mother’s home has a lot of standing water around it. We’ve had 20” of rain in February alone. After trying another lesser product ($95 transfer pump) with great frustration, we grabbed this Wayne Waterbug from our local Home Depot. Also available at Amazon, NorthernTool, etc.
This pump just works. Hook up your hose, lay the hose out without curls and kinks, set the pump into water and plug it in (using common sense safety precautions). I used a hummingbird feeder stand (hook) to hold the power cords up off the ground.

I went out and purchased this pump after seeing the video. We just had roughly 16” of rain in my area due to TS Eta. I ran this workhorse in my backyard for 24 hours straight. It’s not the most powerful pump available but it does a great job for the price and ease of use.

It’s me (the guy who posted this vid) I’m using a different account. The length of the hose greatly reduces the flow. On a 50’ hose, she pumps really well. I went 125 feet and it cut it to about 1/4 of what it was with the 50 foot. Thx for the comment! Glad it’s working. I ended up getting 2.

You should bring that downspout away from the foundation. And maybe a French drain

Thanks. I'm going to get off cheap. I'm trying to pump out of my retention pond. I'm making a lot of changes to my landscaping, and my water bill was 300.00. 300 bucks for water, with a pond out back....

No Name thanks for the comment! It’s my mothers home. We had an extremely wet winter. We got an entire year’s rain total in 3 months. She added the enclosed patio after buying the home.
