Glastonbury and Coachella cannot be compared. Glastonbury is a whole other level Glastonbury much more about the music from what I see online Coachella seems a lot more like a fashion show got to have the best outfits and get the best Instagram pictures whereas at Glastonbury people could rock up wearing anything and no one would care it's all about the music. Glastonbury's also been going since the 70's and i would go as far as saying its the world's most famous festival.
Glastonbury is a hippie music festival, Coachella is a hipster festival.
Agreed though, it's not been the same since the turn of the millennium, went a few times in the 90's, a few mud fests but amazing specially Travis playing why does it always rain on me whilst I was knee deep in mud and rain 😂lost its charm now, has that Coachella 'vibe'

I've been to both they are sort of comparable (I'm British but my mrs is from san francisco so we live in cali). People forget with glasto that its also an art festival. So where he said like Cochella and Burning man imagine the two merged together.
as a person born and raised In Leicester they are iconic over here. Glastonbury is the biggest music festival in the world if I'm not mistaken and has been around for a long time

I was there right in front of the sound stage , one of the best sets I’ve seen closing Glastonbury, the energy and performance was better than any of their studio albums, great band live.

These lads are fully unashamedly huge oasis fans and got the certificate of approval from Liam early on, was lucky enough to watch them support oasis at Wembley, can't lie, Liam was poor that night but kasibian were insanely good, this got played as the sun went down 😎
I used to be part of one of the fencing crews at Glastonbury..basically a big circle 9 miles round...2 months putting the fencing up....and about a week to take it all down afterwards... those who bought tickets,a long time in advance,would have no idea who was actually playing over the 3 days until much later

Muse are amazing live! I saw them at Leeds Fest 2011 and went on to see them live in Manchester a few years later just because of how good they were at Leeds!
How to explain Kasabian? Hmm, they make music that sound like epic football chants, I feel anyway. Such a shame the lead singer beat up his partner and got kicked out the band. It was good while it lasted!
Kasabian are a great band. They toured the US with oasis in 04 05.
If you wanna see Live Kasabian, watch the show from Victoria Park 2014. It preceded Glasto and was a hometown gig so the crowds were INSANE! Coming from someone who was actually there😁

Glastonbury is like coachella and burning man combined, over 250k music fans just out to have a blast for 5 days with over 300 bands playing from every genre you can think of with incredible art installations as well as the spiritual aspect as well, it is an audio/visual extravaganza to experience
Best description of Glastonbury. Been 4 times. 2000 was the best for me( Bowie). Not been able to see Kasabian.

OK guys.... Glastonbury is the biggest outdoor concert 3 days in the world. It's been going for 50 years. The last time it was on in 2019 the attendance was 203,000.....people. The tickets sold out in 36 minutes..!!! They had 2,800 performers over 79 stages. No other festival in the world equals that.
You need to watch Arctic monkeys at Glastonbury doing when the sun goes down and brianstorm it was only a year or so after their debut album and they get the entire crowd going
As someone who has been to all three imagine Cochella crossed with Burning man that's Glastonbury because its a music and arts festival. I was there. They were doing a cover of praise you as an intro to "LSF".
I'm 2 years late and you probably know this by now but - the start is a cover of Fatboy Slim's 'Praise you' a song which features 6 different samples, the main one being the vocal line he's singing here which is from the opening of 'Take Yo' Praise' by Camille Yarbrough

Seeing Kasabian play Fire live a T in The Park was probably the craziest experience Ive had at a gig easily a dozen flares going off at once. DEFINITELY worth a reaction video

On Flares...it might be remembered that Glastonbury lasts from a Thursday to the Sunday night... in that time it is the largest town in the entire UK by 80k people..... 300K+ people over a few days... It is a logistical miracle all run by one guy Michael Evis. The single flare getting in......mhe..lol

Kasabian live is a thing to behold, first saw them back in 05 as warm up for Faithless (amazing gig) , they were unreal! Seen them 4 times since n never failed to impress, fast forward to now, no Tom Meeghan no Kasabian imo

The year before I was next to sergio watichng the 'Editors' play an amazing set at the 'Other Stage'.

Right Here, Right Now was another Greta track off the same album of Fatboy Slim’s. Might be the title track(?), or is it called “I’m Number 1 So Why Try Harder” which was on the T-shirt the fat kid is wearing in its cover? Can’t remember. Anyway...

Folks have told you the Praise you bit was Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook, Weapon of Choice, Right Here Right Now, Rockefeller Skank, Praise You). He was originally in a band called the Housemartins (Caravan of Love/Happy Hour). When he left that group they went onto form The Beautiful South (Old Red Eyes/A Song for Whoever).
All songs I would highly recommend, however, have you reviewed The Stone Roses?

That's was the year I actually managed to get tickets 2014 pyramid stage kasabian. Absolutely amazing day some mentioned elbow one day like this somewhere in the comment. They were actually on before kasabian that night. At least I think they were... it could have been before arcade fire on the Friday.
