Don't need to bleed the brake fluid to retract the caliper ,just open the cap from the reservoir of the master cylinder.

Hi mate love your videos been a great help on the journey of learning how to repair the cars and avoid the heavy mechanic cost. You could say I ow you a pint or two with the money you've saved me so thanks 👍🏻 what size of torque wrench do you seem to use the most as in both length and torque range? Thanks

Great 👍 When you say "managed to change" does this mean you're a DIY novice and haven't done this job before?

@@CycloneCyd Actually, at 64 I consider myself a DIY Dinosaur :-). But I never did this job before and the job was very well explained. So again thanks

    Hiya Cyd!
Is it just one M6 x 16 CSK screw that I need for each disc?

Why no copper grease? Nice video by the way

Hi Mitchell, copper grease is NOT SUITABLE for the high temperature application. It dries out and breaks down causing sticking. Use Ceratec as explained (see my rear pads video)

A few suggestions, if I may. NEVER use grease on the sliding pins, or any other parts of the brakes. Use silicon paste! Silicon paste never looses its properties that grease does, that eventually lets the sliding pins to seize. The second tip... is that you put the silicon paste UNDER the stainless brake hardware, before seating the brake hardware in the calipers. NEVER between the the new brake shoes and the stainless hardware. If you think I'm just full of rubbish, don't hesitate to check out e.g. this brilliant mechanic on TH-cam: th-cam.com/video/L1gl46KMsyM/w-d-xo.html Cheers! 😊

Ceratec is a silicone grease developed by TMD Friction specifically for this job.
But, yes, *never* use ordinary grease or copper grease.
