Yeah it was a beautiful place to ride, even the roads themselves in the county were very quiet. I went with what other folk had said about the place, it's one of the least populated counties in the country.
@@BikepackingAdventures did a local off road club ride last Saturday, everyone else on mountain bikes, the leader seemed surprised I managed to keep up with them on all the trails, only thing I didn't do was down a couple of steps, took the side downhill bit.
Hi Richard, there is an "A68 Club" whose members are defined by finishing the inaugural LEL. It is definitely a rollercoaster road, and the reason why LEL was extended by 100k early on thereby avoiding the eastern approach to Edinburgh by cutting across to Carlisle, and taking the somewhat easier western approach. A great club to be part of nonetheless.
With my tummy being a little upset I really felt it when reaching the crest of every hill and rolling down the other side. I bet on two wheels it was a bit of nightmare; especially with cars about - although from my little taste of Northumberland traffic - the roads were very quiet.
Me and my 5 year old have two electric osets but there is limited information available. Do you think they would be acceptable on these trails. Thankyou.
Heya. Yeah if you keep to the trail that goes around the lake they'll be fine, nothing tricky. From the Centre if you go anti-clockwise you'll come to a restaurant, bike shops and cottages in maybe 3 miles (guess) so if they tired or bored you can always head back.
@@cleanadrainltd1246 well never heard off Ossett before and on website it definitely looks like a motorcycle, but website doesn't say anything whatsoever about how fast they go? If your talking 15-20mph then that's the same range as most people on bicycles so comparable from that perspective. But legally, I wouldn't like to guess, if they are substantially faster than bicycles I would say all footpaths are out of bounds.
That looked like a fun ride, last time I was in Kielder Forest though I got attacked by midges
Yeah the midges had long gone home (wherever that is!) in October!
This is my kind of bike ride, away from traffic, gravel track that not too tough, great sightseeing. Might have to do this one day.

Good to hear/see you've been to the North, hope you get well soon bud. Good luck in Sherwood 👍
Yeah looking likely Sherwood will now be this Sunday.
Great video, that route look fairly easy, would happily tackle that on a road bike with 700x25c tyre's makes it a bit more exciting
Yeah it was nothing too testing, certainly not for mtb!

Thanks for the reply buddy. Do you think they would be acceptable from the legal point of view as some people say there motorcycles and others ev’s
