Just a note - this is not a typical training session. Normally we would play a private creative game with a much more "hands on feedback" - it's a bit difficult to "coach" and play at the same time but that was the request for this training. Just a question from a basically brand new player to Fortnite - I moved over from Siege and am curious if you have advice on properly configuring the sensitivity and ADS for the game? With siege I was fine to run at 9% X/Y and 100% ADS, with my mouse running between 8k to 9k DPI - but in fortnite, it always feels like something is off with my aim, and I am struggling to figure it out. Mouse has been running at 7k DPI, with X/Y at 31%, Targeting Sensitivity at 100%, and Scope at 28.7% - Scope for almost all situations (minus when the gun is just iron sites) feels good, but the rest does not. Thank you so much for any suggestions!
@@chloemiqo8817 if you are running at 800 dpi (not 8k I hope lol) and 31% x and y, you have a cm/360 of 6.64 which is ridiculously fast. I use 800dpi and 6.1% x and y, which is 33.7 cm/360. Pros usually use around 28 to 35 cm/360 ratios. You are wayyyy too fast with your sensitivity. Which means you are only wrist aiming, which throws out a lot of precision and control. And if you are using 8,000 dpi then there is just no shot you can aim at all lol.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. Yes, it is helpful. One approach might be to spectate the person you're coaching and have them tell you their thinking process and then you tell them yours so that we can see the difference.
I've tried this but usually it results in them playing poorly because they are trying to process the feedback while surviving - so it's a bit hard. Playing while talking is a hard skill to learn - you usually play about 30% worse if you have to explain and think about other things while playing... so usually results in a lot of time in the lobby.
what about going over a replay with the person post game? or adding that to the video after you play the game together? you can give tips on alternative course of action depending on the situation and where opponents actually were regardless of whether you saw them or not?
Watching you explain game sense and positioning/mobility to players is huge in my opinion. I play with tons of new people and that is the content they need to get better. Yeah that's kind of what I did in a lot of instances, but didn't really show it - more so showed the "correction" or "how I do it" sort of pieces to speed the video up. Otherwise it would be very long - also results in many deaths. Your mini map shows your player icon as a white arrow. Your glider "locks out" and stays gliding at 100m high.
