I started playing fortnite 6 months ago and I absolutely love the game. I had a old beat up ps4 that I was playing on and I recently upgraded to a ps5. I noticed that I was getting a couple more kills per game on average, and I figured that's from the system, picture quality, new controller and maybe just luck. I'm trying to become a better overall player and I appreciate your videos man. Thanks
I'm 48 and played arena fps (quake, UT) forever so transitioning now to FN my biggest challenge is just cover and not keeping myself exposed. Thanks for your videos much appreciated.
Yep, I had the same issue... arena shooters you can kind of leave cover to take a 1v1 more often. But in FN zb cover is an essential in almost every fight... especially with the 3rd person camera and right shoulder peek.
i just started playing fortnite on controller 2 weeks ago and ive already been racking up wins while making the shots harder on everyone else thanks to your videos. Referencing your content has really helped me enjoy the game.
Just found your channel a few days ago when I felt defeated losing nearly every game...been watching a lot of your content and hope to implement these techniques into my gameplay!
What I needed most was perspective and I finally got that with you showing about how long it takes. Thanks for that, I won't be as harsh on myself for not being perfect yet. Plus what you said about arena shooters resonates with me a ton, explains why I find tdm more fun than br.
Thank you. Yeah it's a HARD switch to go from past paced arena shooters to a game where you have 1 life and a 1/100 chance of winning. Best of luck my friend.

I started playing Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 3 for Zero Build, and today after 1 year of playing i can say that i'm a good player, not an insane one but i'm working hard on improving always. The main problems i have is that i usually go for flick shots too much, and don't line my crosshair with my movement, and also jump too much when fighting close range. Kinda hard to master movement when i have constant 120 ping, that's why i struggle so much to implement the movement techniques. Great video as always man, i'm glad i found your channel bc your content is the best for teaching players! Cheers from Argentina and keep up the excellent work

I finally started to follow the core advice from this video: Track matches and reasons for deaths, click training, The Pit for practice. What the tracking quickly revealed for me is how poor I was at escaping bad situations and needed to get better at using shockwaves. Sensei Toby Wan! You’re tips and training tools have helped me exponentially these past 2 weeks. I was about to go from a consistent Gold I player to be able to reach Platinum I! Something I seriously would never have thought I could achieve! The beginner/growth mindset and specific goal identification are concepts I teach my students, and have found it great to apply to these skill sets! Your videos are great! Keep up the good work, and thank you again! Looking forward to the journey of improving!
Love the videos. To me never thought about alot of stuff u said. I played alot of old cod shooters was all run n gun. So do same here. I just started 7 months ago. Supriseingly i do get 14,15,16,18 kill matches. With screenshot prove n videos. But not consistently match after match i average about 6-10 on average. Love the videos never thought of alot of stuff. Been starting to implement alot of the stuff. Like shockwaves. Never carried or used those before i would carry normally 1 ar, 1 shotgun/fist, ectra, 3 medkits n either floweberry fiz, and or big potions rest of inventory. Have been doing pretty good with that. Alot of time i drop the medkits n grab 3rd weapon. But deffintally adding ur techniques. Only thing i did know is highground is king. That was only obvious for me. Rest is great information ty

Hey Man! Your videos are so helpful! Really enjoy seeing your progression. I’ve been playing for a few years, but super casual. I’ve definitely plateaued and have gotten frustrated with how quickly I get killed off by better players. After watching a couple of your videos I’ve started practicing in the R v B death match and I’ve already noticed a big improvement in my ability to track people and adjust my aim while I’m moving. It’s gotten me super motivated and I’m having a lot more fun. Excited to follow your channel! 👏 🙏
This is a fantastic watch, really enjoyed watching your progress. You often talk about aim training etc. I don’t get much time these days to play, but one thing I struggle with is switching guns at right moment, yes I could use sweaty creative maps, but I’d rather use a gun switch training map, to give me more confidence with timing. Do you know of one?
@@TobyWanShinobi just been practicing that 1v1 focusing on switching guns, for 30 mins , then went & I really felt I played so much better thanks to your advice, actually won game with great smg to shotgun switch.. Now I’m definitely more focused on practicing on one thing at a time. It really does help. Thankyou 😁👍🏻♥️
Just started playing. I always loved third person shooters, the only thing I wish is you could swap shoulders. I actually shoot lefty irl and shooters always feel a little weird to me.

Bro.. are you telling my story right now? i also started fortnite for fun with my gf back when ZB released. Very casual for months, until i started watching tfue and decided i wanted to get good at the game. i spent hours and hours on that coney crossroads map. haha very nice vid as always my friend!
Another great video m8 -- i didn't know you used the azeron? are you on the cyborg or compact? I have been thinking about getting one but i have heard very mixed reviews. GG
What are you using to aim train? Do you have a routine in game and/or Aimlabs or Kovaaks? Im coming from Valorant, after reaching my Ascendant ive gotten pretty bored, decided to pick up fortnite for fun! Loving your series, ive also been a big fan of Tfue since Season 1 Chapter 1!
Omg I also did that. Checking how was I dying the most. To me was sprinting and jumping. It takes a while to get the gun out. Cause you are moving the arms in the air. So i turned off spring toggle
This is amazing!!! What I love about this is that I can pinpoint where my skill level is right now with where you were at that point in time and then see exactly what I need to do next to improve. First tutorial I've seen structured this way. Can also apply your more general non specific Fortnite advice such as creating a journal of weaknesses to any game or sport. Thank you!!!
Wow loved everything bout this video. I'd consider myself somewhere along your month 8 in terms of skill, and just trying to figure out how to get better and what to do next to do so. Your ideas make lots of sense and I'm excited to start implementing your ideas
Thanks man, for sure one of the most understanding guides for covering all different type of players, super helpful! Been practicing movement and its made the game so much for fun!
Thank you for this vid! Be rad to make a video on the Azeron cyborg and how you use and map it. I am looking to get one and swap from controller also and a video on this would be super useful !
I stumbled across your videos the other day and I love how you explain your tips and tricks more than most people. You seem like you genuinely want to help people get better, I'll be using some tips tonight in my game play! Keep up the great work on Fortnite and with these videos ❤
Been flicking through your past vids, and something you repeated a few times I imported to my gameplay. I now line up rather than fire and hope for damage. At first man I felt like my shooting slowed way down lining up my shots, it took me 3 days not 3 weeks of practice 1 hour a day ( I have a toddler as well) and now my lined up shots are almost as fast as my shoot and prays (flick shots). Also my match accuracy went from 28% up to an average of 63%.
Shinobi!!! This was a fantastic vid, it encourages me to want to be much better. Several of your tips, best practices and words of wisdom resonated really well and got through this thick skull of mine. I am inspired and even motivated to start trying to use keyboard and mouse. Keep up the excellent work my man!
Great vid new Sub. Question I’m a controller player planning to get that Azeron does it work fine for other games and is it really worth it ? I want to take my game to a higher level.
@@TobyWanShinobi I have a pc. Thing is I’ve played controller my whole life. My skill level now is a little above average player I know you said you gotten better than controller with the aim but does switching really bring your gameplay to a higher level?
@afrexz1427 it kind of uncaps your skill level. Meaning if you've really plateau'd on controller you can move to mouse and keyboard and grind until you get to the same skill level as controller, but then you can move past that skill without hitting the same wall. This is because of the 1:1 movement speed of a mouse. It just gives you more capability. Moving an analog stick with a 3 inch arc vs a mouse with a 20" space. You have much more control and speed without any acceleration bs that controllers rely on to turn quicker, etc. But you will not become a better player overnight by switching to m&k. It takes a decent amount of time and training to reach the same skill level that you were at.
Thanks! Started playing about a month and a half ago and love it, and while I'm not bad for a beginner I'm desperately looking to improve my aim. I get so frustrated missing shots. I just started making friends and they e been helpful (while I've played games before, I am 'older' and generally play single player games). I didn't even realize there are training rooms/maps until last week and def looking for ones to help my aim.
Hello. I started playing fortnite 3 weeks ago, and I want to improve. First thing is my aiming. I am not very good. Last FPS i played is unreal tournament, and I was very very good, and now it seems i never held mouse in my hands (maybe I am getting old - 40 this year)... My question is what DPI you use on your mouse, and ingame mouse settings? Second thing, where (and how) did you practice aiming? You say you did it 1 hour a day but not how. Thank you. When i get my aim back, than i need to work on my movement and awareness, but first aimig... Thank you for your videos. I found your content to be very good. Keep up.
My mouse is 800dpi, 6.1% x and y, 55% targeting and scope. I used Kovaaks. But I recommend aim labs now and play the voltaic Playlist. This well ensure you have well rounded aim in all types of scenarios.
What aim trainee do you suggest? And I just switched from warzone to fortnite, and I'm glad I did. I find fort is definitely more chill vs cod. Also have a 8 month old myself lol so props 👏

Stoked to hear that! Thank you for the kind words my friend ❤️
Tobywan increasing everyone’s power levels out here 😎
It sounds like it! Love to see my viewers improving.
Nice video I have to learn not to choke in close fights🤣but I’ve learned thru your vids not to just stand still🤣oh yea happy birthday little guy
Congratulations, and happy birthday to your son🎉
Great video! I started in May, after seeing the Star Wars skins, and I never looked back since lol I hope one day I can be as good as you 🙏
You can be! Just put in the training time .
@@TobyWanShinobi I will do, your videos have already helped me a lot, thank you!
same I downloaded fornite for the Boba skin... never played but when the starwars event started i gave it a try... now im hooked
@@olivegrove-gl3tw yep, I am enjoying the game too much now 😄 I got Anakin and some troopers, I really wanted Maul though 😬
Also would love a video on the cyborg keypad
Watched your videos bc i quit fort a while back ik chp 2 s3 but no build has been a loy of fun but of course i was a bot at it but now i been doing pretty darn good thnx 😊
Another great video. Do you stream too? Wouldn't mind watching you play live a little!
Yep! Every Tuesday and Friday here on TH-cam. Join us! We have a great time and you'll get to meet more of our great community members. They really are the best ❤
Your videos are awesome. The fundamentals of every aspect of the game are important if you want to progress as a player. Even myself having alot of time spent in the game and being decent at it, learning the fundamentals improved my skills
Thanks for the videos and tips! They really helped me A LOT! I’m shocked at how good I’ve gotten lately. Been playing for less than a month and I’ve got 2 Victory Royales( yeah that’s not a lot,but I had none when I tried a year ago) got 14 kills and second place this morning. I get to top 25 50% of games and top 10 30% of games
Hoping I will catch up with my little brother by watching your videos in secret now. Super good content!
I love to hear that Ben! Thanks for your support ❤️
Hey, can we know what sens you have please. And good videos as always
6.1% , 6.1% sens, 48% scoped, 54% targeting, 800 dpi
Should do building no build is sooooo easy man lol but good work love the vid
This is a fantastic watch, really enjoyed watching your progress. You often talk about aim training etc. I don’t get much time these days to play, but one thing I struggle with is switching guns at right moment, yes I could use sweaty creative maps, but I’d rather use a gun switch training map, to give me more confidence with timing. Do you know of one?
I love this idea that’s probably my biggest issue as well
Checkout my shotgun aim training video - the end of it has a great map for it in a 1v1 vs a bot
See my reply to Billie 🙂
@@TobyWanShinobi just been practicing that 1v1 focusing on switching guns, for 30 mins , then went & I really felt I played so much better thanks to your advice, actually won game with great smg to shotgun switch.. Now I’m definitely more focused on practicing on one thing at a time. It really does help. Thankyou 😁👍🏻♥️
Just started playing. I always loved third person shooters, the only thing I wish is you could swap shoulders. I actually shoot lefty irl and shooters always feel a little weird to me.
You and evolve Jake deserve so many more subscribers than you guys both currently have l. The content you both put out is top tier keep up the amazing work and hopefully the sub count will match you content quality soon enough
Bro.. are you telling my story right now? i also started fortnite for fun with my gf back when ZB released. Very casual for months, until i started watching tfue and decided i wanted to get good at the game. i spent hours and hours on that coney crossroads map. haha very nice vid as always my friend!
Haha that's funny, very similar! Look at us now :)
These clips prove you are AMAZING at the game
Another great video m8 -- i didn't know you used the azeron? are you on the cyborg or compact? I have been thinking about getting one but i have heard very mixed reviews. GG
I have both but I upgraded to the Cyborg for extra customization and extra keys. I love the Azeron.
Another fantastic video baby!!! I'm soaking it all in and implementing it into my game play! Really appreciate what you do! Luv and Support brother!
Thank you my friend
Let's goo!!! I was waiting for the next upload😅
More to come! Sorry for the delay.
@TobyWanShinobi No, no not a issue at all. Love the content, when do you see yourself streaming next so I know when to tune in 😁
What are you using to aim train? Do you have a routine in game and/or Aimlabs or Kovaaks? Im coming from Valorant, after reaching my Ascendant ive gotten pretty bored, decided to pick up fortnite for fun! Loving your series, ive also been a big fan of Tfue since Season 1 Chapter 1!
I used the voltaic system in Kovaaks... mostly just grinded the voltaic novice and intermediate playlists
You have same story as me.
Red vs blue got me better.
Never play mouse in key in my life.
I am freaking good now .
Using your code forever!
I also started on chapter 3 season 2
Have two babies now.
Two years and 5 months
Omg I also did that. Checking how was I dying the most.
To me was sprinting and jumping.
It takes a while to get the gun out. Cause you are moving the arms in the air.
So i turned off spring toggle
Thank you my friend!
Dude I made a playlist just for your videos. You rock 🔥🔥
My "must watch" Playlist is my best value videos for sure, if you haven't watched all videos in there yet. Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful! Good luck my friend 👍
Great video. Thanks for sharing all that valuable information.
No problem!
Wow loved everything bout this video. I'd consider myself somewhere along your month 8 in terms of skill, and just trying to figure out how to get better and what to do next to do so. Your ideas make lots of sense and I'm excited to start implementing your ideas
Just build one skill at a time, stay intentional with your learning. You've got this 🫡
Thanks man, for sure one of the most understanding guides for covering all different type of players, super helpful! Been practicing movement and its made the game so much for fun!
Love to hear it! Keep training
Thank you for this vid! Be rad to make a video on the Azeron cyborg and how you use and map it. I am looking to get one and swap from controller also and a video on this would be super useful !
i also use the Azeron, Im curious what button you use for jump. Good work on the vids btw, keep em comin.
I put all of my movement on middle finger. Middle forward is sprint, middle down is crouch, middle back is jump.
Great video! I'm wondering what DPI setting you use on your mouse?
800 dpi
@@TobyWanShinobi Thanks!
I stumbled across your videos the other day and I love how you explain your tips and tricks more than most people. You seem like you genuinely want to help people get better, I'll be using some tips tonight in my game play! Keep up the great work on Fortnite and with these videos ❤
Great video! What do you set your mouse aim sensitivity to?
800 dpi. 6.1%, 6.1% and targeting/scope to 55%
I'm so glad I found ur channel it has been exactly what I needed to get my rank game up thank u so much
Love to hear that!
Yesssssss so hyped to watch this video. Every time I get a notification from toby I get so exited. Keep up the good work
Thanks Sebastian!
Thank you so much Regy! ❤️
Great vid new Sub. Question I’m a controller player planning to get that Azeron does it work fine for other games and is it really worth it ? I want to take my game to a higher level.
It works great for any game because it basically just emulates a keyboard. Are you going to use it on a console or a PC?
@@TobyWanShinobi thanks I appreciate it a lot. Nothing’s easy so I’ll give it a shot see how it goes.
This is an amazing video! How many wins do you get a week?
Watch my "best zero build warmup" video for good practice maps!
I have always been better at building than aiming by a huge margine I think I have already improved from your videos.
Glad to hear that! Keep training in practice maps and you'll be a beast
@@TobyWanShinobi thnx
Watching this gives me hope! Thank you
You got this!
Love the one vs one on the tank 😄 Now that's "pressing"
I’m on year two with an Azeron Classic! Love it. I need to check out your close range video as that is definitely my weak point 🙈
Awesome! Azeron team
I have a question, i don't know how to use bunkers, but they are good in zero build, so, should i use it or not?
Nice!! Checkout the video description for Aim map codes and trainers
This is incredibly impressive. Bravo. I'm hoping to achieve similar results. I'm tired of being average!
I love to hear that! Join us! We will help you reach your goal . Checkout the "must watch" Playlist for training.
@@TobyWanShinobi I'll start watching when I get off work. Keep up the content!
Bro I hope you blow up, your content is seriously awesome and valuable, only downside for me would be that other players would get better lmao
Haha thank you! I feel the same sometimes LOL. Givin away all the strats and secrets
