- Come along as my family and I enjoy the souther hospitality & cuisine of the MAPLE HILL MANOR BED & BREAKFAST. Stick around for the special history segment at the end. Family owned and operated. Support local!!
Strangely enough, over the weekend, we purchased a cast iron plant stand in Cox Creek. It belonged to the grandmother of the owner. It turned out her family owned the Maple Hill property and operated the foster children's home at that location. She told us the stand had always been there from her first memories and her grandma topped it with flowers. It came with the family when they moved from Maple Hill. Really enjoyed this one, Barry, and the food looked great. The Civil War history was excellent. History, no matter what, should be embraced and not feared or held with disdain. Thanks!
@@brucefournier2391 that’s a great story. I’m glad the plant stand has a good home.
The Baxter's!!!!! Yes, I am sure they told you their parents owned it from about 1978-1988, give or take. They ran a Boys Foster home out of here. I would have loved to have known them. The daughter and granddaughter have shared letters with us from the boys that went through here, sharing with the Baxter's just how much of an impact they had on their lives.
@ that’s an awesome story,
I have stayed their twice and enjoyed both times, beautiful home

Oh my goodness. Thank you ever so much for a trip away from rainy, cloudy Socal. I love the Maple Hill Manor Bed & Breakfast. For me, this was your best video yet. The food was to die for. The rooms were the best I have ever seen. This place is on my list of where to go in Kentucky. And compared to Ca, it is not expensive!

Barry was that amazing breakfast covered with the stay or do you have to pay extra for it.
This place looks amazing.
It’s included in the price.
Barry's right, breakfast is included with each night's stay. The menu does vary every day, so we don't always serve what you saw Barry eat.

Being an antique dealer here in Paris France for 50 years, I can tell you that nothing in this house is from the period mentioned. They are all copies of furniture
Not very convincing copies.
@@alstrada1 can you find anything else to criticize in the video?
And you can tell that by the few seconds he spent in each room. Didn’t look at the back of any piece of furniture, didn’t look inside any drawers - man you are AMAZING!!! And here I was thinking those toilets, showers and particularly that Jacuzzi tub were period. I’m so glad you set me straight. 🙄
@@teresareed5597 lol!!
Being a TH-cam viewer in the United States for nearly 20 years and a connoisseur of comments, I can tell you that trolls originated from Norwegian folktakes circa the 13th century; I hear they have been known to lurk in the catacombs of 'Ole Paris'. You must be out of your Bougie mind to think true vintage furniture pieces were resting in a B&B in rural Kentucky. I'm willing to bet the French Eggs weren't accurate Haute Cuisine as well.
Come on down to the bluegrass and have some sweet tea and cast iron cornbread, relax, Mon frère.
