  • This week our Southaven Campus Pastor Hunter Upton speaks about how we are called to be visible reflections of Christ's light in a dark world, shining in ways that bring glory to God and draw others toward his truth.
    Matthew 5:14-16; Ephesians 5:8-10.
    Discussion Questions:
    1. In Matthew 5:14, Jesus says, “You are the light of the world.” What does this identity mean to you personally? How does it change the way you think about your role in the world?
    2. Matt Heard’s story about the single match piercing the darkness illustrated the power of even a small light. Can you recall a time when a small act of kindness, grace, or truth made a big difference in your life or someone else’s?
    3. What are some practical ways you can shine Christ’s light in your everyday context - whether at work, at home, or in the community?
    4. Spiritual darkness can feel overwhelming at times. What keeps you motivated to shine brightly for Christ even when the darkness seems too great?
