Yesss, love this new line! You guys crushed it. I've been using Inky and Clyde beard butter multiple times a week, the blend and scents are top tier. I've used Ghost Hunter and Pinky beard oils as well and agree, medium viscosity. 8-bit is great and Shaun is an awesome dude!
Finally picked up the sample pack of the this line (it was the last one in stock 😊). I've used Pinky and Clyde so far and I'm in love. My beard hasn't felt fantastic lately and it feels rejuvenated now! I feel like I've plateaued with a few of the other companies so this is a refreshing change. Thank you 8 bit and Dan for bringing this to us!
I’m with you. The strongest scented beard oil I currently use sometimes has me worried about being “that guy” with the strong cologne scent in public when wearing it.
This isn't even my biggest compliment regarding this brand but Ghost Hunter has quickly become one of my favorite scents ever, i love the initial smell and the way it can if you try still be slightly detectable but not in a way it interrupts anything during my day, i absolutely adore it. I need to try more scents but have fell in love with the company partly just on the weight of that, the other thing is even more massive for me, although may be personal to me. I have to give HUGE shoutout to this company for their Butters in particular. I haven't tried every great brand, but I usually only can do light use at night at the very most, previously lets say every other day even with many products from companies I love. This is the only one for me so far, with my hair and its own complexities, that i feel comfortable if i want and need more control to wear in during the day, if i wanted every day. I don't know why this is it just distinctly stands out with my particular hair. I'm sure on my journey there can be some user error involved (so not trying to knocking others) but i get just enough added control and protection and unlike most of what i've tried for butter (why i don't use it in mornings usually) it possibly even reduces tangling for me. I CAN NOT rave about their butters enough as someone with Dark Brown+Grey naturally curly hair that i typically style straighter with heat (butter after heat obviously) on hair which loves to tangle and snag. Not sure if that means my hair is more porous or less, what its exactly tailored to and why it works so well for me, I just know it works wonderfully and I'm happy I gave them a shot, it LITERALLY changed my opinion about using Butters more frequently, even in the morning throughout the day if I desire with my 5-6 inch medium length beard.
LOVE me some 8Bit Beard Co. LOVE Shaun, one of the realest people I know, a MAD beard product scientist and most of all, a GREAT family man.. I absolutely LOVE the essential oil line.. It is what I’m all about these days in terms of better health and trying to find ways to improve my quality of life and an essential oil blend is one way… As matter of fact, I’m going to pick up some more right now.. I love their scents and old school game theme. They are a great company as well. I do love the sweet scents and I don't think they are strong over a long period. Only at the beginning. I look forward to checking out the new scents.
Awesome! I'm a person who sticks to essential oils only. I've tried companies that use fragrance oils, and they all gave me problems. I'd pass the oils along to friends, and they'd have problems too. But I've never gone wrong with essential oils. This line opens up possibilities for people like me.
I have 3 oils from the essential oils line and one from the original line. All are fantastic and I love companies that offer both. Sometimes I enjoy the scent staying around depending other times I enjoy it for an hour or two then I like it to go away. I also have their wash and all of it is great! And what a creative fun company theme!
I really like the companies that you have developed relationships with. As I see them in social media I see they have certain values that I really am into and admire. Inspiring.
I have the Pinky oil & Dan is spot on. It’s grapefruit and very well done, I love it. Just put in my beard actually during this mornings routine, right about at that point in the video no less, LOL! I drink grapefruit juice daily and there is no mistaking that scent. If you’re a citrus fan, it’s a good one. 👍🏻
I'm a big sucker for labels/logos/visuals and I have to say these are one of my least favorite ever, but oh my god does that ingredient list seem amazing or what! And literally all of the scents sound even better, there's not a single one I'd not love to try (and there's usually at least one where I'm like "nope, not interested at all" just by reading the fragrance notes). And the fact it's all natural is the biggest YES! I have to write down this brand and this collection in my notes to remember to try them once I run of my current oils, these seem incredibly good! If I saw these in a store I'd just walk past them with zero interest because of the branding, but this is a perfect example of "don't judge the book by its cover". These seem worthy paying extra duty taxes (as I'm in Europe), that's how much I like them just by knowing the ingredients and scent profiles.
8-bit is awesome! Love his products. Great company! Love the feel in beard and some great scents. My first try he sent me a free sample of something I never try which is tobacco scent and I have never liked any tobacco scents but his did the trick .
I like 8 bit beard co. I haven’t used their essential line yet tbh. I’ve used their oil, butter, shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. I love their scent profiles but I’m ok with their feel in beard on oil and with shampoo/conditioner. With that being said the scents, the way they advertise, and family ethos is what keeps me coming back.
Looking forward to trying it out! Part of my love for beard oils is the scent. It’s therapeutic and soothing. So I do often crave an oil based on scent. Absolutely love 8bit! That cucumber seed oil 👌 I haven't tried the new line but the regular line is 🔥. Scents to look out for toud town, the hero, thrilla gorilla, finish him ( bedtime scent) , and any of the mega man villains if u enjoy cologne type scents

Great review! What you said about essential oils was especially informative/educational! It’s funny that while computers have been a major part of my life for over 50 years, I have an older association with 8-bits - (American) monetary units. So I think of it as an inexpensive company. Clearly they are a quality company and I look forward to trying them.

I found 8 bit just last month. Had used Smokey mountain beard products for couple years but they've cut their scents to next to nothing. I ordered samples of 8 Bit "Knight man" and "Cut man" oils. Really liked Knight man and both scents stayed around slightly all day which is my preference. 2nd order I got Knight man butter and balm and a full bottle of essential oil Pinky, without knowing is was a different kind of oil. Thought "essential" just meant like their base scents lol. I like the Mt Dew/Squirt soda w cinnamon punch it gives but the scent does fade completely within an hour. Not my preference for staying power but my beard is healthy using it. I'll def be reordering "Knight Man" products and try a few other signature scents. 8 bit should consider hard colognes, I'd buy em ;)
8 bit is an great. Every thing about the company is top notch. I still remember first hearing about them years ago on some random live stream andnthe people talked about this company that was going to be 8 bit video game themed. I love the regular line as well as this essential oil line. Obviously the scents don't last long, but right out of the gate they smell awesome. Think my favorite is going to be ghost hunter. So for anybody on the fence about this company pull the trigger what do you have to lose. If you don't like him reach out to me I'll take them off your hands LOL
Who said that we had to have complex beard oil fragrances? I love the idea of having a new take on a standard fragrance. It's kind of ironic that Shaun's "outside-the-box" thinking is actually "getting back to the basics."
