I think I have reached a level in my collection that I can really slow down, I only started a few years ago, so I had a lot of catching up to do. My last few years have been spent learning all the stores and shops locally that sell movies, I check the local online buy and sell several times a day.. I've got a 10-15 website checklist i enjoy going through everyday when I get home from work :)! I'm happy to be a part of the group that watch these videos, I've learned a lot about how to display my collection from these videos and I look forward to all future videos. Thanks!
Once again, this monthly pick ups are amazing like always! I am waiting every month for this awesome video you make and yes its so worth it! You really do inspire me and manny others! Keep on doing what you love!! Keep on The Collection!!
Another great update. I was in Morecambe again last weekend and stumbled upon filming of The Bay series 2 near the Pier pub. The shot I watched them filming was James Cosmo driving the wrong way up a one way street.
Thanks Roy. Would have been cool to still live in Morecambe while the show was been filmed. I just finished season one and enjoyed it. Besides from the teen murder investigation and the heroin dealer, it didn't represent Morecambe as bad as I thought it would. It was fun to recognise a lot of places I used to walk and cycle 👍
Just sat and watched this on my day off from work. Been waiting and looking forward to your new video, and, as usual, I was not disappointed. Another great month, some wicked pick ups and additions, and another great video. Keep up the good work, and looking forward to Novembers additions now :-)
As usual many great special editions. Thanks. Just got info of a very limited edition of Gladiator from eveythingblu website today. 800 copies only and it looked great. Its a BluPack with the movie in 4K, blu-ray and a extra disc. Release 17th of february, but it is on preorder from 5th of december.
Fantastic videos. I have definitely been buying a lot more after.watching your vids and recommendations! I would love to see you do a video on your Arrow collection!
I just picked up that Umbrella release of the Blob myself. I saw it at the cinema so it’s not new to me but my first time buying it. It’s good as far as remakes go. Awesome haul.
Thanks mate. Good pick up on The Blob... I watched it for the first time last night. As a lover of Carpenter's The Thing I can't believe it's taken me this long to see it. It was way better than I originally thought it would be. Bet it was cool to see in the Cinema on first release.
Glad you liked it. I always thought it was a good one. Also, the video where i give you a plug is up. Maybe i can throw a couple of viewers your way. You have an amazing collection, so thanks for sharing it with us.
@@HSCollectibles Thanks man! I've just watched your vid now. I can tell you really admire all those channels. It's such a great way to enter a competition... it promotes others and shares the love. I think that's great. Again best of luck dude and thanks again 👍
Glad you picked up the Mario Bava set. There is a really nice looking German box set coming out soon. You can find on Amazon. Only a couple films overlap, although not as many. So a few others, but art on the box is killer.
Ah, you got the John Wick 3 Benelux Edition (Wood box) as well. Mine is on the way. Had not seen opened up yet. France did have a similar one but not exactly. Back is different. German also same front but different back. German had the back art as what Best Buy US version was on front. Painted face. Was not a fan of that at all. Best buy just recently released a 1-3 collection (Steelbook) also using same front art, and the back is John with the dog. Same art as one of Nova Media slip releases coming. UK has a 1-3 collection coming, not a steelbook but a gorgeous slip box, with the same front art again. Back has john pointing gun, similar to the 1 and 2 john wick Nova Media Lenticulars the put out. This back has the cool art on the that surrounds John mixed in and would have been perfect if Nova used to go with those other 2. But yea, it looks killer. Comes with some nice bonus stuff. @@mg-ThisHandleIsSoStupid Thanks buddy. Those links are great. First time seeing that Bava box set and yeah, the artwork is lovely - thanks for that. I'd seen the John Wick triple before... a friend of mine here in Australia has ordered one for himself but I'm going to pass on it. It does look really cool though and and is limited to only 1000, but I'll be grabbing Nova Media's JW3 One Click and I recently learnt Film Arena are going back and doing John Wick 2 as a premium so i'll probably grab that too if they use all new artwork. Thanks again bud.
Please keep up the good work -- I'm always on the hunt for international releases since in the U.S. they don't really seem to respect physical media anymore and there's MANY MANY FAVORITES that still are not on proper U.S. blu-ray releases! Paramount and Touchstone are particularly bad about it! -- And it's also great that you not only collect, but you WATCH and SHARE what you love! Kudos!
Very enjoyable video once again! I always look forward to these monthly collection updates. The Haunting of Hill House and Can You Ever Forgive Me? are both excellent. I also love The Possession of Hannah Grace - an effective, underrated movie with a very good lead performance from Shay Mitchell.
Thanks mate. I'm four episodes into Haunting of Hill House... I like Mike Flanagan and can't wait to see Doctor Sleep. Not had time to put on Possession of Hannah Grace yet but I did like Shay in Pretty Little Liars so hopefully she can get more leading roles. Cheers bud 👍
Hey mate, thanks so much for the kind words and for shouting out our channel, Sarah and I really appreciate it! Glad you were able to grab that Bava set, it's fantastic. Once again, so many fantastic editions and pickups - I have a soft spot for all of the Matrix movies and those editions look incredible. I have to say, your videos are more and more convincing us to take the dive into the premium editions! I'll also look into grabbing those books at some point too, I love those types of books and have a couple of similar ones myself. And that TCM 2 bust is sick, I LOVE it hahaha, plus it's such a fun, ridiculous movie. Great haul again mate and thanks again!
You're welcome mate... you guys seem like such cool down to earth collector's and movie lovers. I've just seen you've done a Vinegar Syndrome vid so I'll be watching that soon for sure. It's a label I'm yet to dip into... it's a bit daunting to start now I've missed so many. I have ordered their 4K Tammy and the T-Rex so I've started to dip my toe in the waters. And yeah those books have so far been a great read and source of inspiration. Thanks to the bad movie bible I've just found an Andy Sidaris box set going cheap on Amazon so i've got that on it's way to me. Never seen any of his stuff but as soon as I read up on Do or Die with Mr Miyagi, I had to see that movie. Again thanks for watching dude, appreciate it, cheers 👍
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 Thanks mate, and same to you as well. Always a pleasure to chat to you and all the other collectors on the horror page and here on TH-cam as well. Thanks in advance for checking out our VS collection vid, I do mention it at the start but it is a much smaller collection than what we've shown in the past but we still wanted to talk about them. And I totally know what you mean about that daunting feeling when starting to collect from a new label, it can be quite overwhelming at first but great choice on that Tammy and the T-Rex release. I also hadn't heard about Andy Sidaris but just looked up the trailer for Do or Die and it looks incredible hahaha 😂Will do some research on Sidaris for sure. No problem at all mate, as always I look forward to seeing your next vid 😊
Thanks man. There's always the possibility it'll get a re-release sometime in the future. Arrow's done this a few times so you might still get the chance to buy it new 👍
Great as always. You and Cody Leach are officially my favorite thing on youtube. Kind a surprise you didn't get Arrow's new editions for American Werewolf in London and Nightbreed or the new The shining steelbook. Loved Crawl (Tarantino is now saying is his best movie of the year so far, don't know about that) and I quite enjoyed The pool, even if the acting was not memorable. Well, thanks for sharing and looking forward for a new tour video once you finish your alphabetical rearrangement.
Cheers buddy. Appreciate you sticking with me and have been enjoying my videos. And yeah... American Werewolf and Nightbreed… they're on their way. Things take a little longer to arrive here in Australia so they just missed out on this video. They'll be featured in next month's for sure... unless my postie pinches them and then the video will just be me crying for 50 minutes 😂
You probably have these but my local two store has 2 laser discs, Appocalypse Now, Widescreen and The Great Escape, Delux Letter Box Edition, each has 2 discs with them, and look to be in beautiful shape. At any rate, I am in Canada (Toronto) and can enquire about price if of interest but I suspect you may have them in your massive collection. Cheers, David
Thanks David. Appreciate you looking out for me dude and for the offer. I don't actually have either of those awesome movies on Laser Disc but they're not something I'm chasing right now. If I saw them here locally I would probably be tempted but something that big, shipping from Canada, isn't really something I'm looking to spend money on right now. Again, thanks for the thought though dude... very cool of you, cheers 👍
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 No worries, we had a heavy snow fall here yesterday so had some time on my hands and checked on the Laser Discs and he wanted $25 Canadian for both, a total of 4 discs, but your are right, shipping would be expensive but I would do it the cheapest way possible, and I would charge you only the actual cost of shipping (I am not a dealer). Anyhow thought you might want to know what he was asking. A shame they cannot find a good home down under! If you change your mind, let me know. Cheers again. David PS: Just a thought, but good friends are in Australia now, they go once a year to visit their daughter. I am sure if I packaged them up they would take them with them to post as they go once a year but that would take time, sometime in 2020. Their daughter and family live in Melbourne and they were just at the Melbourne Cup they said.
Great video as usual. The Texas chainsaw massacre 2 bust seems to be missing a disc, or are you watching it? Thanks for the Doom mention. Pretty fun movie. I enjoy watching those kind of movies as well.
Aw man, that Oldboy release looks amazing! Last summer I was torn between the limited edition or the regular edition from Arrow. But at that time the limited edition only had Oldboy, not with Lady Vengeance or sympathy for mr Vengeance included... Had I known it then, I would have preordered the limited edition. Now I have preordered the regular trilogy pack that Arrow is releasing in December.
Yeah mate... quite I few people I know weren't happy about Arrow bundling in Sympathy and Lady after the limited edition sold out, and then announced the standard edition as well. A least you were able to preorder the regular trilogy pack and with the same transfers and extras, it should be amazing.
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 Indeed, very much looking forward to it! Love your video's by the way, great inspiration. Only downside is that it makes me want to spend more money then I should.
Amazing mate SpiderMan into the spider verse lenticular is beautiful. Yes crawl is a real fun film so well done and very tense .Quintin Tarantino said crawl is his favorite film of the year. Will have to look out for the pool . As always another brilliant month haul
Thanks mate. Glad you liked Crawl too. So nail biting. You'll love The Pool if you enjoyed Crawl. I think it may have just started streaming on Amazon Prime if you have that? It's worth tracking down for sure 👍
Really nice pieces! Have to give a shout out for The Blob remake, I was impressed with it. More gritty and political than the original, but still had that kinda 80's cheese fun to it all.
Thanks mate. Yeah, I watched the Blob last night. As a lover of Carpenter's The Thing I can't believe it's taken me this long to see it. It was way better than I originally thought it would be.
I like your Collection. It makes my Collection small and just make me want to work more to Get it bigger! :) I Think them namless - German release sculptures are so cool. But so expensive
Thank you. Glad I can inspire you to grow your collection. And you're so right dude... those Nameless busts are very cool but can be super expensive, especially shipping them because they're so heavy.
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 Yes I see that... I order mean girls Limited Edition after I saw your copy. I really love that film. But I am most in action and horror. I just started Collection the really rare Big sleeve Edition from Sweden. I have most of the old ones. And was so Angry when they stopped making them so that made me so happy this year when I find out they make horror and exploitatiomf films in that Edition
Just ordered Arrow's Alice Sweet Alice cant wait to watch it! Love me a great slasher movie also hoping to pick up a Halloween 2018 steelbook soon have yet to watch it kinda nervous i did love the original.
I'm curious, how much time would you say you spend watching movies per week? And also, how much of your collection is, so far, unwatched? I get the impression you really watch the large majority of what you buy, even before you actually purchase it physically. As a collector, I find myself having trouble justifying some purchases, simply because I cant imagine finding the time to watch it. Although I'm putting more effort into catching up, especially with older movies that are easy to forget about despite being top tier films.
I try and watch 2 movies per day, or 1 movie and 2 episodes of a TV show... or no movies and 4-5 episodes of a TV show if it's worth binge watching. I aim to watch everything I buy but it's just not physically possible. I'd say there's around 300 not yet watched, maybe more. The way I've designed this room and the way I collect is influenced by all the time spent in video rental stores as a kid. Going through the aisles looking at the artwork and seeing what I'd seen and what I hadn't. Now I get to do that at home. My aisles are filled with movies I've watched and not watched and when it's movie time I get the choice of picking something I've seen before or something completely new. I may never get through everything I buy and to most people that would be crazy, but growing my collection the way I do gives me the same choice and feeling I felt back in the early days of renting and collecting, and for that it's worth it to me 👍
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 Of course it's crazy, but it's fun! And a great feeling to have so many choices to pick from. And I mean *pick* not *click* on Netflix ect. ... Hey, collectors are *always* crazy - a stamp collector never licked his stamps and used it, did he? 😋
Hi There Yeah the blob remakes is how you do a remake right. I got the limited edition blob three movie set put out by umbrella only 2500 now out of print.

Interesting that the packaging for the Hitchcock collection in the UK is different. The opening is at the top and is very snug so doesn't stay open like your version.
That is interesting. You'd think with the US and AUS versions being the same packaging it would just be the same worldwide. Sounds like the UK got the better deal all round on this one... more movies and a sensible box 👍
it's like Christmas day for me to see your Monthly pickups :D can't wait to see your Christmas pickups after all :D but Always i feel sorry for myself that i am not a native english Speaker, so that i can't enjoy those fullslip Editions to their fullest :(
Haha thanks mate. You might be a little disappointed with my Christmas pickups... December is time to buy gifts for all the friends and family. I'll probably have some socks and slippers to showcase... that's usually what I end up getting most Christmases 😂
Yeah I used to do that the first few videos I posted but most special editions had already sold out and it took me ages to source all the links and add them to the description. Now I just say where things are from so viewers can Google it afterwards... if they ask, I'm always happy to provide links in these comments when asked 👍
Amazing stuff man! Very impressed with your knowledge, love and respect for great and genre films and tv!!! I’m in the US and a professional screenwriter and collector - and I wish I had the room!!!! How do you afford to collect such wonderful goodies????
Thanks mate. Appreciate you watching and commenting. As for affording it all... I guess currently having no children helps with the disposable income and my partner and I don't smoke or go out drinking or take expensive holidays so we're left to spend our money what we enjoy which in our case is movies 👍
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 Awesome! In Los Angeles, most people aren't fortunate enough to have basements or cool places to house their collections (myself included) but that doesn't stop me from buying it! I have some really awesome screenwriting projects in the works -- which some major players-- so hopefully one day I can have a room that I can properly house my collection! And hopefully I'll even get to have a BLU-RAY or 4K of my own movie!!! In the past, my brother and I had several VERY MICRO-BUDGETED films produced, produced and starring Michael Biehn (of ALiens/Terminator fame) -- the films don't exactly highlight the scope of our talents -- but they are what they are... we got one on Germany digitbook, called HIDDEN IN THE WOODS (the U.S. remake with Michael Biehn, not the foreign film it was based on) -- it's very GRINDHOUSE and raw, but it's fun... also they did THE NIGHT VISITOR and THE GIRL -- :)
hello, I was wondering what your thoughts were on Film Arena's Black Friday sale, I noticed they left their black friday sale link from 2018 on their website all year, and now 2019 black friday rolls around and they decided to remove the link, a year later, why would they leave a black friday link on the site all year and then remove it once black friday rolls around? do they not look at their site or what?
Another great video. Thank you so much for sharing where you purchased the items in this video. I noticed that you still buy DVD's but no 3D blu-ray. Is there a reason for this?
Thanks mate. No real reason although I do still buy the occasional 3D... Toy Story 4 steel has just turned up - I got that from Zavvi because it had the 3D disc. Same the month before, I picked up the Zavvi exclusive of Endgame because it came with the 3D disc. I do still buy 3D occasionally but not as much as I used to. Now with TVs phasing it out and the US stopping selling 3D discs, I guess it won't be long before they stop making them altogether sadly.
Manta Lab make some great One Click boxes and shipping to the States I believe is fairly reasonable. Manta's choice of movies to give the premium treatment is also very good too. They previously did a gorgeous release of Fight Club and just today I received my Se7en One Click which is housed in a box designed like the box from the end of the movie.... very cool. www.mantalab.com/

Hi Wilsonian just subbed after seeing your movie room tour, you have a beautiful collection! I wanted to ask is there any edition you regret not buying and do you have a most wanted edition? Thanks!
Thanks Debbie. Really appreciate you subbing and watching my videos. Great questions! I once had the chance to get the complete Dark Shadows TV show box set for a good price but I'd never seen the show - this was before the Tim Burton movie came out. I'd also never seen what the box looked like in person... I'd only seen pictures of it online. Due to the cost of shipping, I passed on it. It was only a few years later I was watching another collector's room tour and he had it on the top of one of his shelves... the box set is huge! In a pretty cool coffin shaped box and now it's almost double the price for what I originally saw it for, so I'm a little gutted I passed on that one. I do believe everything happens for a reason though and maybe one day, one will come along at another good price. My most wanted edition right now would probably be the German Blu Ray bust of Romero's Day of the Dead... it comes with a bust of Bub the Zombie and from the pictures I've seen, the bust looks incredible. That's due out sometime early next year so looking forward to adding that one to one of my glass display cabinets. Thanks again for watching and the great questions. Cheers 👍
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 That's funny - I bought that huge coffin box quite some years ago, it looks awesome. But I actually never watched a single episode so far. The box just sits on the shelf. It came in a big cardboard box with special inserts to stabilize it because of the coffin shape. I was very happy it arrived safely here in Germany back then...
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 Thanks for your reply, I believe if you wait long enough for something you'll get it eventually! I've been pipped on stuff on Ebay, once by only 1 cent! They're a good company ordered off them a few times now. I also have a p o box in USA (i'm in UK) which means I can buy stuff on Amazon and Ebay.com and have everything shipped at once, it works out a lot cheaper for Code Red, Scream factory etc! Just got to watch the customs fees! There's a burial ground bust coming out next year too!
These home video companies that put out special editions are really cool. So there's EverythingBlu, Zavvi, Manta Lab, and Blufans. Any more that I'm missing or should be aware of?

I am wanting to get a Premium version of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood when it comes out ~ do you have any suggestions or recommendations where I should try to get a copy? Thanks.
he always mentions where he gets each pick-up, try looking through older videos and seeing what types of special editions you want, and most of those are certain to do a Quentin Tarantino film, but try manta labs, zavvi, mondo, and HDzeta.
It's still early days yet for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood but there's definitely be a few premiums to choose from after the standard release has gone on general sale. Nova Media have released the most Tarantino Premiums to date so I wouldn't be surprised if they do one... they so far have done Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and both Kill Bills. www.novamnm.com/ Manta Labs recently did Inglorious Basterds so I can see them also doing one. www.mantalab.com/ And coming soon from KimchiDVD are these cool looking Jackie Brown editions so maybe they'll even do one for Once Upon a Time.. kimchidvd.com/en/22242/v.kimchi Others may do it too but these are the guys I'd recommend keeping an eye on. The best place to see any new or upcoming news is on the collector's forums. Wilsonian Movie Museum You must have an understanding partner! 😄👍🏻 I must say that I envy collectors with English as their native tongue - there is so much more for you to collect, and for the most part you don’t have to worry about subtitles and such.

Fantastic collection!
Kudos!
What you pick up in a month I pick up in a year..😆🤣😆Nice!
Great video again. What would you think about doing a "christmas themed" video, showing your favourite christmas movies ?
Amazing video as alwaysm I want that scarface so bad looks awesome. Keep up the great videos
Awesome hoard dude. I missed out on the Mario Bava boxset I totally forgot about it being released at the time
Thanks man. There's always the possibility it'll get a re-release sometime in the future. Arrow's done this a few times so you might still get the chance to buy it new 👍
Love your videos! You have really inspired my interest in collecting more movies for my own collection.
Thank you! Appreciate it buddy. Cheers.
Honestly that Spider-Man into the spiderverse thing You have is so worth it
Wow that scarface!! Great pick ups as always
You make great videos , thanks for sharing
you will enjoy "the blob" great 80's creature feature...
Haha I did enjoy it, very much! Cheers 👍
Great pick-ups
Awesome update! Scarface is fine but I much prefer Carlitos Way when it comes to De Palma gangster flix!
Hey man! Does that spiderverse oneclick box have English audio and/or subtitles?
Also have you ever watched The Descent (horror movie)? If not i highly recommend! I just found out it has a zavvi steelbook i missed out on!
I may never get through everything I buy and to most people that would be crazy, but growing my collection the way I do gives me the same choice and feeling I felt back in the early days of renting and collecting, and for that it's worth it to me 👍
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420
Of course it's crazy, but it's fun!
And a great feeling to have so many choices to pick from.
And I mean *pick* not *click* on Netflix ect. ...

Could you link the websites to where you get your pieces of your collection in the description?
Thanks!
Yeah I used to do that the first few videos I posted but most special editions had already sold out and it took me ages to source all the links and add them to the description. Now I just say where things are from so viewers can Google it afterwards... if they ask, I'm always happy to provide links in these comments when asked 👍
You make excellent videos.
Appreciate you watching and the kind words... cheers 👍
You must have a really good job to be able to afford all of this especially inside one month...
What company do you recommend I follow for premiums to be shipped to the U.S.? You get the coolest releases.
Great haul... again. Sorry, I'm late in viewing this monthly. Lots going on.
Question: I assume you got a region free player for your collection. Which one do you recommend is a good buy?

Cheers 👍
@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420
That's funny - I bought that huge coffin box quite some years ago, it looks awesome.
Got the item in the end though! I think the hunting is all part of the fun! That Blu ray bust sounds awesome will have to look out for that one! Have you heard of a German firm called Beyond media? They're a good company ordered off them a few times now. I also have a p o box in USA (i'm in UK) which means I can buy stuff on Amazon and Ebay.com and have everything shipped at once, it works out a lot cheaper for Code Red, Scream factory etc! Just got to watch the customs fees! There's a burial ground bust coming out next year too!

Nova Media have released the most Tarantino Premiums to date so I wouldn't be surprised if they do one... they so far have done Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and both Kill Bills. www.novamnm.com/
Manta Labs recently did Inglorious Basterds so I can see them also doing one. www.mantalab.com/
And coming soon from KimchiDVD are these cool looking Jackie Brown editions so maybe they'll even do one for Once Upon a Time.. kimchidvd.com/en/22242/v.kimchi
Others may do it too but these are the guys I'd recommend keeping an eye on. The best place to see any new or upcoming news is on the collector's forums. This steelbook thread on Hi Def Ninja is a great place to learn all about future premiums, prices and release dates and where to buy them - www.hidefninja.com/community/forums/blu-ray-steelbook.39/

Wilsonian Movie Museum You must have an understanding partner! 😄👍🏻
I must say that I envy collectors with English as their native tongue - there is so much more for you to collect, and for the most part you don’t have to worry about subtitles and such. Being from Sweden, a whole lot of movies don’t exist with Swedish subtitles in all formats. Sometimes you just have to stick with the old DVD! 😬😊
