You're right that paul doesn't see the future he sees possible futures. Also I'm not sure if they narrate it in the audiobooks but Florence Pugh is princess irulan who has all those quotes throughout the book kinda like directors commentary.

She's Princess Irulan, the daughter of the Emperor. Not bad but not super good character. I just feel pity for her, very sad story awaits for her. She's the woman that does most of the intros of the chapters, like a historian recording the deeds of Paul Atreides. They meet by the end of the Dune first book

Spice addiction turns its users eyes blue. Princess Irulan is the chronicler of Paul’s story.

Well, constant exposition to and consumption of Spice does - and Spice is extremely addictive, so you are definitely not wrong. Just wanted to clarify that it's not neccessarily the addiction itself that turns your eyes blue.

Saturation of the blood by the spice melange is what turns the eyes blue - not just addiction. In the novels it’s explained that just about everyone is addicted, hence another reason why it is so valuable. It’s also why the Navigators of the Spacing Guild have blue within blue eyes - they are dependent on breathing the spice gas which causes their mutation over many years.

I think I've managed to say this without spoilers (really I think you can read this and be fine) but I want to talk about Jason Momoa's character. If you don't want any inkling whatsoever about what happens in the second book (the events that happen after this 2023 film called part 2) then don't read, but again I think I've done a good job.
The relationship of Jason Momoa's Duncan Idaho with Paul Atreides had some emphasis put on it relative to many other relationships they could have shown in the first movie here for a reason. He was probably Paul's closest friend, as Paul had no peers of his age. Anyway if you want to know why they focused on it you'll have to financially support part 2 so that the second book gets adapted too. Or just read that second book ;)
