It's funny, right? Cuz, as I'm watching the full doc and the members are showing their childhood homes and telling stories about how they used to all hang at a specific friends' house and wil' out together, I'm thinking about how kids on the east coast were doing the same THING lol.. for real! I respect you guys for keeping it 💯. The lyrics were just calming to the mind, and, credibly, some of the best beats and lyrics ever made. But he knew what he was doing. And then you got the god producers in Primo, Dilla, Pete Rock, DITC, etc. that you can spot each of their signature sounds.
It depends on how you sample. It's about technique, just like flowing.
