    70% isopropyl alcohol is the best for most electronics on a related note. Good work! Very detailed.

    I wouldn't recommend using alcohol on anything other than the silicone tips themselves. I learned this the hard way with my LG headphones. I would clean them about once a week with an alcohol damped q-tip, in less than a year the earbud housing split apart along the adhesive line. I've also experienced that using alcohol regularly on soft texturized plastics/rubbers can cause the texture to wear off or become gummy. They do make 50% rubbing alcohol, and maybe even less that would be better than 70% but I'd still be wary. I was just looking this up for wf-1000xm3s and thought I'd share to save anyone the headache of damaging their product. I'm currently searching for an applicable cleaner, but I would say just a slightly damp cloth (water) and being careful to not get any liquid inside would suffice for most cases. A tiny bit of dish soapy water for very dirty parts, then wiped away with a few passes of that damp cloth. Of course the silicone ear tips can be taken off, and can be cleaned/sanitized with soap and hot water, or even alcohol.

    A warning if you use foam tips - do not use even 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean them. They will cause the earbuds to stick to the tips, according to an Amazon rep. I know it's not covered in the video, but it's also not covered on the packaging of the foam tips I bought. Might be worth mentioning this somewhere? Otherwise you'll wreck $20 for 3 foam tips (in my case).

    Appreciate the vid! My ears are gross and overproduce wax so basically my Sonys had a thin crusty layer on the earbud hole itself. There is a foam insert where it layered on the top. I almost thought it was factory glue or something lol. Anyway I was able to clean it with my alcohol solution and cotton swab. Just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone else is wondering why there would be a yellow layer on this part of the earbud! I really did think it was glue for a second..

    When I listen bass music on my WF 1000xm3 on 70% volume with clear bass lvl 10 I hear some distortion. What it can be? It sounds like cracking plastic, I think that's not normal. Somebody help me!

    • @adamashforthdrums
      @adamashforthdrums ปีที่แล้ว

      Because clear bass at 10 is way too high. The “flat” or 0 level is plenty of bass. I actually keep mine at negative 1, because the natural bass response of the ear buds are “hyped” or exaggerated. I listen to loads of music with emphasis of sub bass frequencies and I’ve definitely found that less is more.
