Harpeth River Yamamoto Yamatanuki smallmouth catches with EXPLOSION and unspoken THREAT from locals

Early November, 2023 smallmouth kayak fishing the Harpeth River (Kingston Springs skatepark to Hwy 70). After three hours without a catch, I switch to the Yamamoto Yamatanuki and the bite was on!
During the float, locals see me and light off multiple massive EXPLOSIONS, probably 5 times the sound of a gun shot, in what I can only imagine was a warning to me.

I mostly fish the Duck River, but I'd really like to spend more time on the Harpeth. It's so beautiful out there. Thanks for the vids!

I am enjoying your channel...what works best for me in the colder months is soft plastic with some red in it ....very slowly on the bottom....very very slowly...I use the Zman TRD Bugz in Hot craw. sometimes the lure has to sit still for a few minutes...then as soon as you move it they hit....be patient....the big ones are still in there.

You are fishing places I grew up fishing and only get a chance once a year to visit now. I grew up in Bellevue right there in one of the bends of the harpeth. I enjoy your presentation and you also take time to appreciate and enjoy the scenery...you don't talk too much and you don't talk too little....keep it up...I am a fan. I'll keep an eye out for a blue bonafide next time I am out there. thanks for the videos.
