The Xavier Rudd tour was the first time i saw Ben Howard play live, i remember going, listening to his set and completely forgetting that i had gone to see Rudd. From that moment on Ben Howard became my favourite artist. Amazing. I am so happy to be alive during his era.
1. John Talabot - "Fin". Excellent album by a Spanish music producer. He performs live, dj's, and does a lot of song remixes for other artists. 2. Foals - "holy fire". Great live band, in addition to their albums. Well worth checking out. It's nice to see that Ben has eclectic tastes and gives a shout out to other contemporary artists.
Anyone slating "the host", you are slating Zane Lowe, one of the most musically passionate Radio1 DJs still on air. Listen to his show and i think you'll hear him for the charming gentleman he is. Excellent interview, favourited. I really enjoyed hearing Ben's story in his own words. Seeing him play in London and Glastonbury was a definite highlight of the year so far - both were amazing sets. Can't wait for the release of the new material.
Another person who listened to music while they slept, mine was cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel and the Sundays, I'm twenty three my dad hated modern music.
this is a great interview, Zane is good!I am in love with Ben Howard and somethinf i really want to hear him say is review his experience at T in the park last year, i wasnt there but i saw the sound engeneering was terrible and i am goig this year and he hasnt been announced yet, and i think he wont go because he had a bad first experience
In other things Ive found Zane interrupts a lot, but i quite liked him in this interview. Not being from Britain I cant say im a regular listener to him however.
Funny they mention how great his manger is when that same manger discovered Sam Fender as well who is gona be a big star as Sam is just getting started
Yeah, that might be the reason, because if you watch the perfomance here on youtube you'll see that the sound was terrible, a lot of feedback from the mics and stuff, Ben even loses his cool at a certain point, because it was a really messy job of the sound engineering
Zane Lowe somehow manages to make a music interview sound like a job interview... he even pulls the same faux-understanding reaction faces and postures you get from arsehole managers. Fitting in to the corporate machine perfectly.
He said he didn't want his music to be perfect, but every song is perfect
We said
@@PeacockAffect Yes, thats right. He wouldn't have meant in the literal sense.
Minor freak out when he mentioned Bon Iver. Love them both, they should collab.
That host was great, I don't understand the harsh comments. Awesome interview with an awesome artist, thank you for posting!
Questions are long and makes it alote about himself or gives his take which nobody cares !
Ben Howard is the real deal. Have already seen him 3 time and will see him again in Oct.

Zane Lowe is the kind of guy you might get stuck talking to in a bar and find hard to get away from.
Lolololol

I think the interview is awesome in it's entirety.

And THAT is how you interview and ask the right questions to be able to get to know someone better.
loved it! thank you so much.
Awesome interview, cheers BBC!
James Shinfield I was lucky enough to go to that event in Exeter and it was nothing less than epic!
Amazing music, amazing man.
yeah, 'don't you worry' would make a great duet.
he's the most down to earth 2 time Brit Awards winner ever :P ily Ben!
Ben really needs to do a duet with Lucy Rose!
I actually love him

I love the idea of imperfection, i still have hope.
The tumb ring and bracelet he is wearing he was wearing that in his video of only love acoustic in 2010
He seems to wear those all the time.
Love this video and i love ben also! :)
Frickin life ruiner that man

I view albums as art as well. My spotify probably looks a lot like Ben's mother's!
practicing my british accent on that

Big up totnes
Ben's hair is kinda cool :-)
His body language screams shyness and discomfort - he has a lot to say but he’s rather sing it
Funny they mention how great his manger is when that same manger discovered Sam Fender as well who is gona be a big star as Sam is just getting started
Ben Howard supported Xavier Rudd, that would've been sick!
I use Spotify the same way as Ben's mum :(

This interviewer is ANNOYING. Let him speak dude!!
That's when art meets media ! :(

What an abnoxious, jealous host..
