Hope you guys enjoy the video! Links to the keyboards are in the description. Which one did you like the most?
My requirement for a keyboard - it absolutely must have a numpad.
I use a TKL for everything, but have it set so that when I hold left Command and left Control (mapped to Caps Lock 😏), the space bar becomes 0, and nm, is 123; jkl is 456; and uio is 789. Feels just like a numpad, and I don’t have to take my hands off home-row.
I'm using MX keys mini for mac, lubed the membranes and now they are almost silent, so awesome, love them!
This was fantastic! Thank you, I’ve been looking for a keyboard. Azul slim looks sweet.
More tech content! In a weird way your voice is made for it
Great video!
This was a great video will! Your channel helps so much and this vid was no exception
Glad it helped!
I was looking for a low profile mechanical keyboard like that! I hate how tall mechanical keyboards normally are, but that seems so much better
Yesssss the videoooo I’ve been waiting for so long
The Logitech one looks nice! I really like the Mac keyboard, I feel like I would be better with that than some of the deeper keys. I guess I prefer the thinner keyboards myself.
I do! The Azio (last keyboard I tested) is basically just that... An "apple" Magic Mechanical Keyboard :D
@@willpatersondesign that’s cool! I will have to check that one out!
Great video! Your channel helps so much and this vid was no exception
Glad it helped!
I'm a designer and absolutely need a keyboard with a numerical keypad.
Wow exactly what I was looking for. Love mechanical keyboard but the smaller ones don't have the function row and I don't quite like the tall keys. Your awesome for this. Thank You.
Check out NuPhy they were in the game before azio. Same concept but better imo. They have 2 form factors. The air60 and the air75
Thank you! Me and my soon to be girlfriend were discussing about keyboards hehe! Thank you for sharing it!
No problem! I'm a real geek when it comes to office gear :)
@@willpatersondesign I'm a visual artist (do a lot of digital collages, infography, graphic design) so I am looking to become more comfortable and efficient
Hey, Will love your videos. What would you say is the best affordable device for graphics to start. I am not starting as a freelancer and my Lenovo is not cutting it.I would like a device/iPad/laptop/desktop specifically for graphics.I look forward to hearing your recommendations.
I'm using a Roccat Vulcan 120 AIMO. It looks cool with the rotary knob for volume/LED-brightness and types really nice. And it's nice and heavy keyboard so you can't accidentally move it away.
i'd really recommend the gloriouse gmmk pro. it's 75% but exloded, so the different clusters are a bit appart, plus it has a volume wheel in the empty corner, it's also built like a tank
i bought the Keychron K2 and i'm loving it :)
Hey Will, mechanical keyboard user here, I love your explanation of the different keyboards you've used! I suggest that you try a custom mechanical keyboard, as building one yourself is a fun activity and makes it unique to you. I'd recommend, knowing that you enjoy the Azio Cascade, that you try building a Keychron Q2, KBDFans KBD67Lite, or Akko Mod007!
Hey, I completely agree with you. The best keyboard you can buy is the one you build yourself. If he would like a get a really good one the Qwerty keys QK65 would be a great option. However, it is a group buy a board but the shipping is quite quick being only 4 - 8weeks before being shipped out, and it's only $150!
@@tomiem1386 I was going to comment the qk65 but then realized it might be too complicated and it hasn't launched yet 😂 I'm buying one
@@CharlesGorby Awesome man hope you enjoy it :)
I use the logitech g915 tkl, its a gaming keyboard but its really low profile. very expensive but worth the investment imo. its also quiet but loud enough for you to just about hear it with headphones on
amazing, as part of the mechanical keyboard community this is an amazing video always wondered what other keyboards you use apart from the anne pro 2 :D
Idea: play a game where you commission 5 different logos with different but similar briefs and try to guess which is which
I would recommend a TGR Jane $8000 USD to go with your Apple Studio and your Apple Monitor
Vortex Pok3r RGB 60% with cherry mx blues is the best.
Are you kidding? I was just looking for a new keyboard lmao
I can read minds hahaha
Good afternoon Will
:D
I think as much as I’d love to get a mech keyboard, keyboards are really all the same when it comes to function. So I don’t see myself getting one.
Are keyboards without numpad good for Graphic design because there are shortcuts in Many softwares? Please reply
no they are not. They just became popular the last years, because the average doesn't need them, but it's mandatory for any designer or office worker.
You’re like a young Jared Harris
What about arrow keys
Would you ever be willing to stream some gaming?
the more keys the better
No hat
LoL Graphic design needs Good mouse not good keyboard.
Got a video for that too :)
