I wanted to thank you for this tutorial. I got married 20 years ago and my aunt had made me an album like this for our wedding photos. Now my daughter gets married in June and I have been searching how to make one for her as a present from me finding your video has helped me be able to give her something that I have treasured and I hope she will treasure as well with her own photos. It's nice to know actually printing photos - well developing photos (as they called it when I was growing up) is coming back! I STOPPED making these about 10 years ago when the digital camera was born... These were always one of my favorite and they make awesome gifts! Thanks for doing this video as I forgot some of the steps that were involved!

And 20 years later, my mom made one for my daughter, but now that she has passed away, and I'm pregnant again, I'm making one on my own for my son! So glad I found this video, it's so helpful!!
My mom use to make all of her baby albums like this and now I want to make one in memory of her. since she has passed I want to give an album decorated just like how she would like to my sisters and my brother because we miss her dearly. thank you for your video it helps me figure out how she did her magic and also why there was so much glue sticks all round the house :)

I love this... I recived one of these but it was the large photo album . I recived one when my oldest daughter was born over 20 years ago. Now she is due to have her on baby so I will be making her one and giving it to her at her baby shower... Thanks so much for showing how to do this....

I don't find it overly long since you did show everything. Speeding up the camera helped after we knew what to do. Yours is the only video that shows how to do everything completely. If you do re-do it, please don't cut out any part.

@CookingAndCrafting *Grin* Yeah, I was thinking exactly that - about how I'd make one my own. Maybe I'll do one for each of the girls for their birthdays in September. Hmmmm... For myself, I'd ditch the lace and keep it simpler; more contemporary. One of my sisters made me picture frames that way and I loved them; everything was country style then and they were so cute. But I like boring according to my sisters. LOL.

I would like to make a home made photo album. Does it matter what kind of glue gun I use and should it be low or high temp? Also, do you know of any masculine looking album cover ideas? I plan on making 10 of these for our grandchildren, 2 are boys. thank you, Mary
+Dennis Ray It doesn't matter what type or temp of glue gun you use. I would just switch up the fabric to more masculine fabric, leave off the lace. I have used piping cord in its place.
Does anyone know the history on this type of photo album? I have one that a family member made for me when I was born but they have since passed and I can’t seem to find anything about them online. Just super curious I think they are so beautiful and unique
I personally do not know the history behind these. My sister and I would go to this craft store about 25 years ago and take all the classes they gave just to learn and pass time. This was one of the classes we took. I made special albums for babies and weddings.
