i have been watching videos for covering binders, and i hadn't seen someone trace the outline of the binder with a marker, love the idea, gonna try it for sure! :) very helpful!
This was one of the best sewing tutorials I have used (and I have used many)! You did a great job and it was so easy to follow. I made my cover in an afternoon & my project came out great. I added ribbon to decorate inside edge. I also used Heat and Bond for my lining which was easy and worked great, as I needed a sturdy pocket. You should be proud of yourself! Thank you as I enjoyed this so much.
Thank you for the idea, it is just what I need. Only observation I would improve on, being a sewer myself, I really think you should have turned the raw edge of the lining fabric under (where it meets the rings), and stitched under those edges first. Without this, depending on the fabric used, it's just going to fray and become messy and weak.
