    So I made this and it came out well, so excited. First time trying to make bread, just follow the measurements as indicated you are good to go. I didn't have that flat stuff placed on the burner, I placed my pan directly on the burner but on low heat(used the smallest burner in a set of 3) and also increased the time for cooking a bit. Turned out well

    I’m about to experiment with this recipe. I just went thru the instructions and I’m on the proofing step. So this is the month of Ramadan (1st day) so we start with a sorta breakfast meal @ sunset(1st meal of the day). So what I’ve done is put together ~ cranberries raisins and white raisins (one cup total) I added enough water to submerge them then heated it up for a minute inside the microwave took them out put about an equivalent to 1 tablespoon of cinnamon within the juices of what I just microwave and now I’m letting them sit throughout the period of time that I will be proofing the bread by then they’ll have plumped up. I will pour out remaining juices out then I’m gonna mix the cranberries and raisins with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and when I’m ready to form the dough I will add it in there and let’s see how this works🤲🏼#blessingsonthisHolyMonth#cali&morocco4Life❤️🇲🇦🇺🇸❤️

    So, I tried this. Here are the updates.
    I used 1 cup = 250 ml
    3/4 cup = 180 ml
    Wheat flour instead of Maida
    1 tbsp = 15 ml
    1 tsp = 5 ml
    Idea is to keep it all proportionate.
    Dough was not as soft as hers, it's still rising.
    Cooked it in pan as she showed and instead of iron skillet/tawa, I used a normal non stick pan.
    I would say if using wheat flour, cook a bit longer. I cooked 20-25 min and still had some rawness in the middle. Rest all good. Keeping checking during the cooking process. You can try this as it's a simple recipe with less ingredients and almost no kneading. And it was not as fluffy as shown in video. Cheers guys 😘

    • @vijaysthalekar
      @vijaysthalekar ปีที่แล้ว

      It is because the measurements are wrong. I don't know if people who say the recipe is perfect and it has come out well are actually paid reviews. I don't think they have really tried it. The Hydration shown is close to 65% and not as told in the video which is less than 50%
      When using wheat increase the Hydration to 70% and see the difference.

    Hi! What temperature and cooking time adjustments if using pan directly over the stove. Don’t have a “tawa”.

    • @Ketutar
      @Ketutar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it's an electric stove, no adjustments, if you have a flame stove, use another frying pan or a oven sheet as tawa.
      Or don't. It doesn't much matter. It will work any how way.

    • @Tonithenightowl

      I would imagine LOW heat and instead of 10 mins for the first cook 15 to 20 mins. For the second side at least 10 to 12 mins. You can also flip it more than once to make sure it won't scorch and bakes evenly. When it springs back in the center.. it's done.

      Then apply butter/ghee on top & keep it aside to cool before u take it out of the case. Enjoy. 👍
