@@lukedaley17 When Harry Reid first appeared on the show I thought he was the best actor to have taken on the role so far! I was surprised that they recast him, Max Bowden's Ben was like a different character altogether although Max is a good actor.
Eastenders always seems to strip away Bens happiness in the show I mean just when he finally found someone that he cared for so much who he didn't have to hide his real character they completely ruined the bond they had

To me this was one of he worst stories ever on Eastenders, I can't understand WHY. they could have done a lot with Paul and Ben's story when is enough, enough when are the writes of these soaps going to realize that if you are going to do a gay story line stop being scared and do your stories I'm so tried of you make it like their lives and loves do matter. I'm not gay but I love gay people more then I do straight so I have seen it all and it hurts to know that other people don't understand how this story hits me to the heart Paul was the best, and the love he had for Ben unless you had no feelings at all you felt it, I am hurt on how you ended his life like it did not mean anything, Jonny Labey a beautiful person very talented he played Paul very well, he made me believe Paul was real, I will miss him, I looked forward to seeing Paul's story I can't stop crying, I am really hurting.
Graciesme not true I read on UK metro in an interview Johny admitted the show decision was to kill Paul. It is so sad because Ben and Paul had tremendous chemistry.
+Andrew Simpson Johnny Labey who played Paul had to leave as he was doing a theatre play. (I forget the name of it right now without searching the internet) I'm not 100% certain, but to me, it sounds like another project like this could make it quite awkward and way too much work if you're trying to commit to 2 acting jobs at once. So I guess EE writers e.t.c had to come up with a way to write Johnny out of the show because of this. It wasn't really a way I personally would have liked them to do it, but there we go. It was a very sad ending that hurt a lot of people's feelings as fans (including myself) and that's how it went. (Talk about "it's all doom and gloom" and all that. How very typical of them. :-/) Personally, I would've liked to have seen Ben leave with Paul, like they did with Chryed previously, (and I would end up missing them so much too) but there are people out there who complain when storylines are repeated over and over. So they had to come up with something I guess. Just wish it wasn't like that though. Anyway... I don't really know what "UK Metro" is. Sounds like a magazine or some such, so it's obviously something I've never read or looked at before. But, when things are written about people in magazines and newspapers e.t.c I usually tend to hear the phrase "don't believe everything you read in the papers/magazines" which I think is a true statement. So, what you read, if it was a magazine, then it might not have been completely true. If it wasn't a magazine though, I'm sorry if I got it wrong.
