Abu Zubair heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him) saying:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered us to kill dogs, and we carried out this order so much so that we also kill the dog coming with a woman from the desert. Then Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) forbade their killing. He (the Prophet further) said: It is your duty the jet-black (dog) having two spots (on the eyes), for it is a devil.

Cats are amazing creatures. My cat exactly knows my prayers times. She would jump out of my bed waiting for me until I got up. She would lead me to the washroom and wait till I washed and came outside. Then, she would lead me to the prayers rug in the living room and get sit upon the rug. When I read Quraan standing and about to make prostration, she would sit aside for letting me prostrate. She stays until I'm done with my prayers.

one day coming down of the office floor for prayer, my senior went to do ablution before prayer and i saw cats which weren't petted or brought there ,locals just fed them time to time. and i went to them and started playing with 3 of them and they we're so friendly. my senior said what are you doing? i said playing with cats is the sunnah(work done by PROPHET MOHAMMAD S.A.W).he laughed and said prophet also said to 'PRAY' we both laughed and went to mosque :). i'm AFGHANI born in PAKISTAN .

According to some sources our Prophet sws had a cat named Muezza. But it might not be true. We know from numerous hadiths that we must not be cruel to animals or inflict suffering and treat them good as they are innocents and Allah’s creation. Aside religion, cats are very revered animals in the Middle East and North Africa (obviously Egypt). They are everywhere if you visit some arab countries one day ❤

And right before the prayer was done yes he jumped down because we have to do certain things when we pray we bow and we prostrate ourself on the ground and we pray just like all the prophets remember Jesus when he prey on the mountain his face was on the ground remember Moses his face was on the ground Adam did the same thing and all the prophets did the same gesture which is submitting yourself to God think about it look at look at how beautiful that is when you put your head on the ground and worship your lord and there's a feeling that you cannot explain to no one but you just know that God is there because he said that that's when he is the closest to us when and submission like this to our Lord alhamdulillah
