Exquisite playing and showcase on what makes this beautifully sound. It's truly jazzy and smooth in every sense of the words.

I think this tune has traditionally been performed like a slow ballad in 4/4 time. Evans and Hall rev it up to a fast 4, maybe even in 2/2. It sounds like a bebop rendition. To play the head, over the form like this takes such skill and virtuosity, especially when soloing. I am a pianist and wish I had technical skills to do it, but I do not. But you are inspirational in your presentation and give us a confidence to work at it. This is my first time to hear you - so thank you Mr. T for sharing!

I'm all right with you , Jim Hall and Bill Evans do some exceptionnel things. they are jazz tenors in the same way as Joe Pass

It's hard because the timing. You are correct you have to learn the guitar without any bass and drum. Its an open platform

I don't have enough insights into that level of jazz playing to really benefit.

Thank you so much Tomo for sharing this wonderful song, My first impression of listening to the JM & BE version of My Funny Valentine is that although, very good, I didn't like it as much as the way you were playing it. The reason why I like your version of this song is you have a nice groove that your adding plus that nice Orangewood guitar makes the cords stand out really nicely, not to put any disrespect to these fine musicians because they are truly really, really good at what they do. Thanks again for sharing, Cheers.
