I run my centrifuge and emergency shutoff valve on one extension cord and my heater on another. Both feed though a single WIFI plug though to control them. No issues as of yet. Check our plugs to make sure they're tight to avoid excess resistance and heat.
glad you caught it in time . about how much electricity , in dollars , to run/heat for 3 days ? when i 1st started using it , i was drip feeding wmo into an old siegler to heat my shop . one day i noticed the air had a haze . about to overflow the burn chamber (picture a 1 gallon paint can w/a series of air holes starting about 1 to 1 1/2inches from bottom), if i hadn't been present/acted quickly id've lost everything . i modified the carb to use wmo and disconnected drip feed before i heated again . a close call is better than a fire call .
If the heater is on .. the whole setup pulls around 1250w. We have solar so that offsets my electrical costs. With that said, 1.25 kilowatt hours x your rate and run time.
What kind of torq are you putting on that nut? I have a m12 Milwaukee impact that works pretty good has good torq ive took lug nuts off a car with it before (doesnt always get em off) Also have the big m18 fuel 1/2 impact but i would think even on 1 that might be to much Next question, do you clean the bowl every batch even if nothing is on the bottom just the walls? (For double and triple pass batches) Same thing actually happened to me. In my case i think dirt and muck got into the 3 way plug i had. I just put new ends on centrifuge and heater cord and bought a new 3 way plug that was heavier. Eventually im going to get off extension cord completely and be on outlet Its all 20 amp so i use 12 gauge extension cord and 3 way My collar nut also falls apart like that btw
Okay I had never thought about using impact. Not sure why not. I added 1 more question to my original comment. You replied faster than I could edit it 😂@@NotSoGrandGarage
@@BRWfilms it definitely works faster and it's less likely to slip. Have had several customers be gun shy about tightening it down and have the bowl slip under load. As for clean out... Every few batches when build up gets decent. This time, it was 2 or 3 runs.
@@NotSoGrandGarage gotcha. Yeah I've had a few times where apparently I didn't tighten it enough. Sucks to come back hours later and find (hopefully your oil in the sludge water drum) or on the floor in my case a few times 😅 mess is an understatement
I always like watching the process of you making your own fuel. Never a dull moment
Appreciate you watching!
Amen Gods protection from the fire for sure🙏🙏🙏
Indeed!

Yeah I'd not had an issue for nearly a year running this way. Kinda odd for it to fail the way it did.

nice , thanks .
I had a similar close call with a fire recently. I was almost asleep and smelled hot plastic, luckily I got up instead of ignoring it.
Fire sketches me out. Could have been bad for sure. Glad you were paying attention.
Good job Chris! Is it time for another video showing how to run different vehicles on WMO?
Potentially so. I need to give an update on the flatbed as it's been on the road for a few months now and the new fuel system has been fantastic.

Not much. It's an old 1/2 milwaukee non fuel... and I only let it hit a couple times. The M12 would probably be just fine.

@@BRWfilms lol yeah that's always fun
Ford 2011 F350 with a 6.7 Yes or no?
No way
Possible. Would have to be deleted... And your process would have to be on point. I know of several doing it though with good results
