Yeah my early review of them was “I just got the worst blisters of my entire life” I literally had blisters that wrapped my entire foot. I’ve never seen blisters that big!! But eventually they broke in and skated great. I just had to let my feet heal first lol
2009 👀 OG releases! So stoked this is returning. The last pair I purchased was from BT in 2011. Camo pair. Right around the time Nike SB had their collab with Levi’s. I’m stoked for these. Hopefully y’all get smaller sizes but it’s all good, we eat anyway! They’re beautiful!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The color usage is dope. Materials look premium and soft. Lather laces a nice touch.

I've always found it funny how so many shoe companies think all feet are alike. It's not true. As you know I have big footsies so I already knew this shoe wouldn't bode well with them.. I've admired from afar for many years. It's a beautiful return though. The leather laces are great. And I'm glad the zoom air bags are included too. I only owned one pair of the Janoski back in early 2010 when Nike SB had the second run of the black suede joints. They skated well, but I always preferred the Blazer and Blazer Low.
@@DavidBluetile agreed! The React tech seems cool, but the Bruin React is painfully narrow and tight on the instep of the foot. I can’t wear them. I miss the old SB Bruin.
I ended up skating vans because they stopped making Janoskis. Good to know they are back, but I hope they keep the black and white consistently in their line like they do with the blazers.

It's a dream to have a janoski. Owned my Janoski after searching for a year. Sadly, I bought mine at the thrift shop and never noticed that the outsole is completely dead.Broke my middle finger from crooked grind while wearing it because the shoe is really slippery.
So uncomfortable for my feet and so painful impact wise but I did have a great kickflip in them lol. Exciting to see them back even though I will never buy them haha.
@@DavidBluetile The Shane is essentially the Janoski RM. I found that it increases the overall padding in the forefoot when combined with the cup sole of the dunk. I think since it's just a thicker insole...but the drawback is the Janoski/Shane insole packs out overtime whereas the poron in the dunk insole does not.
I’ve heard that from a few other folks too. Most people want the black white to come back. I think there are some solid colors coming out this year… vs the tri tone
I went half size up on everything about a year and a half ago. so my original pairs were 11. there is no way on earth I could wear an 11 now. maybe my feet are getting flatter? fatter? either way ive been wearing 11.5 in everything lately and that seems to go in line with what people are calling true to size. that's why I started doing the polls on my community channel. I can run one for the janoski if you'd like. I think the majority is going to say true to size.

it definitely was one of the most popular skate shoes of all time but just like the D3 it fell out of fashion. Bigger pants lean towards bigger shoes. The demand for these is still not that great. I think in these times the P-rod 1 would have been the smartest thing to re-release
well they did stop selling for a while. we could give janoskis away for a while. they were mostly in mall chains. so they pulled it for a while to generate more interest. it still didn't blast off the shelf like a dunk or something like that.

@@DavidBluetile I used them in the earth red colorway. Didn't skate that pair ran them to the ground from walking so much in them. Favorite janoski colorway! I still have the bag which I'm happy it didn't get loss in a move. Hoping to put this release back in the bag for a brief moment like visiting it's childhood home. Cork is by far the best insole even for the barefoot. Glad nike did this release with them included
lmao they're marketing this as the "janoski og+" but it's literally the same shoe as the original with a geometric shape on the bottom of the insole. "remastered" my ass if they really wanted to remaster it they'd at least add more cushion in the insole
I think the people who love the janoski would hate more cushion in the sole. that said.... it is an updated nicer, thicker insole (as far as the cork one goes). still thin though.

Blazer is way better imo. I loved the Bruin back then but they fuuuuuuggged that show up.

yeah the OG bruin was great. I have like 6 pairs of bruins that done fit my feet any more. I still have some OG ones that fit great though.

I actually wish Nike would put that insole in the dunks...I have done that a few times with the insoles from my Shane shoes. It feels awesome.
I haven’t tried the Shane’s at all. The dunk insole is a upgraded insole though. The poron should be more shock absorption that the EVA midsole
