Oh no. Olahs serve was ok and efficient. He could follow it up with many good third-ball-attacks. And LeBruns toss was no way vertical when the criticized judgement was made. But since LeBrun is a great player and in great form he could come back and read Olahs serve better and make strong attacks on his own. Maybe one of the more complicated games in the tournament for LeBrun?

Can you guys see why Alexis Lebrun struggled with the reverse pendulum serve of Benedek Olah this game? I also noticed that Olah started using his forehand in the second set, which helped a lot. Another thing is that Olah seemed to lose points whenever he was tipping on his toes before the serve receive, which seems to indicate that he was focusing on being quick on his feet instead of doing what he does with his style. Impressive attempt at reaching the netball by Lebrun @ 8:34
that reverse pendulum is blatantly illegal, literally the waldner era style of serving with using the other hand as cover. In fact later Olah started hiding his other serves as well.
Olah is a big guy and I feel like his footwork is holding him sometimes. Especially moving forward and back. He missed so many forehand counters because of that.
There is no 'gray area' - if you begin your toss at the center of the table and make contact at or near the corner, that means your toss was nowhere near vertical. Now everyone is doing this illegal toss.
Both players have ilegal serves. Lebrun"s is more notorios coz he does not show the ball properly before serving. Moreover, he is giving some spin to the ball when tossing it and it does not go very straight.

Well at this day lacked quite little to actually beat a top player. Maybe thats what he's frustrated about. All this tiny little things that make the difference at a higher level. But sadly they add up over the course of a match!
A Big Thank You for the quality and prompt highlight Videos!
That "focus, Perkele" got me as a finn 😂 11:47
Seems to me that Olah is hiding his serve with his arm quite often. The referee’s decision doesnt make sense to me
Yeah, both the toss and the big hiding hand is so obvious. It seems that they decide to go tough, without consistancy
So true ! Referee's decision wasn't fair, and alexis lost some points after that.

He prepares for every serve on his tiptoes

Alexis absolutely deserved to win this match, also he is the much better player.
umpires should be ashamed of themselves. Either use video camera technology or change the rules if you can't enforce them.
Cg Lebrun James

Il mange aussi des champignons.
Terrible umpiring... How is that they did not call fault to all the illegal serves from Olah, but called fault to Lebrum's serve? Totally ridiculous
Bien laborieux le Alexis contre un joueur bien moins classé que lui
Olah cant hit forehand counter topspin..
Il a fait quoi le laborieux Lebrun ? 😂
Le meilleur coach de l'année se comporte toujours comme un poireau random de départementale 6
C'est a dire?

why is olah so frustrated ? he is just to bad to beat top-players
Why are you being such a dick about it?
