Otto played Benedek close. Both players played well. I live in the States and have had the good fortune to see Benedek Olah play a couple of times. His backhand can be very hard to hit. Thanks for posting!
@@musketor8641 Nute Gunray : my lord is that legal ? Otto: i'll make it legal. But yeah ofc its fine as long as he's behind the line and the ball this above the table and constantly visible it's all good
Well done Otto for running Benedek close - much better than last year. For sure Otto was struggling with Benedek's short serves, which are clearly fully spin loaded. If you can take three sets off someone who is ranked 60 in the world, you ain't a bad player! Benedek upped his intensity in the last set, the chole's started coming out 🙂
I think that Otto had trouble with Olah's serves and tactics at first but then Otto figured some things out and Olah relaxed a little too much. Olah has a devastating backhand attack close to the table. It is clean, simple, and powerful.
I've been following Olah for years, cheering him on when he's the underdog in international competitions. He's always stressed when he's defending his country. I guess when he's only defending himself he can have some fun, like at the end of the second set here. I hope the pongfinity guys keep giving him some entertainment.
Hello Pongfinity Otto, I like this style of play. Very open and not so close to the table. Presumably you use realively soft rubbers? I would be interested in your material. The wood, the forehand rubber and the backhand rubber, each with the sponge thickness. Thank you very much !
Why doesn't Otto lose some weight? He could go down easily 5-10kg. It would make him much more agile for sure. I mean together with his handling he might be a top 100 player in the world or something like that. I d love to see him in some international touraments!!
what... i didn't expect this close. Otto to me is so good but in the end of the day an casual youtber while Olah (as I remmebererd long time and watched his video long time ago) should be an real deal pro.
Otto wasting points for getting emotional during first 2 sets were disappointing. Otto has so much potential, but he needs to lose weight, play more technical and has to practice a lot of footwork to improve his game. Great victory for Benedek.
Otto appears to be a great guy, and an awesome table tennis player. I'm surprised they're not calling him for the illegal serves. Maybe it's an optical illusion, but his tosses come towards him and he hides where he makes contact.
When he gets behind he does seem to throw in the towel - if I had one criticism of the way he plays, that would be it. You should always fight hard for every point to stop your opponent gaining too much confidence, even when all looks lost in a set.
@@Wally-H why would he run around a table for every ball like a madman with his constitution? He would get even more tired and make more mistakes on easiest balls. So fighting for every ball is not always the answer. Sport is so much complex to just say this is wrong and this is correct especially on high level.
During his serve Benedek's hand is pretty much always still hovering straight over the table and blocking the view when he contacts the ball. He should've gotten a ton of yellow cards.
Bruh. I feel like every time he’s losing a match, he’s like “oh well, nothing I can do about that,” and puts low effort in the rest of the match. Every time he’s winning a match, it’s a very close win.
Otto going 3:2 in sets against the worlds rank 70 is pretty amazing! Now imagine, what happens if Otto took his talent a little bit more serious and actually train tt! He could be top50 easily!!! From this perspective its quite sad, that Otto has this lazy mentality. Is such a wasted talent!
Von wegen Benedek ist einziger Voll Profi Finnlands. Otto steht ihn in nichts nach zumindest spielerisch und manche von Benedeks Aufschläge sind ein wenig fragwürdig.
Btw in case you didn't know Mikka and Otto are this year's Finnish champions in doubles again, they're really quite good at table tennis.
Man really?? They will upload duals too, right?? Thanks for letting me know

Otto serving 3 meters away from the table are the best moments of the match

I thought it was pretty funny when Olah gave Otto back the same serve right after to win the 2nd game

The serve at 8:50 was so impressive for me because Olah fakes a spin and then he changed mid air the spin of the serve.
Great performance from otto and a lot of development from the last game congratulations ❤
Otto was not very close last time. Look how much he improved now! Ke's winning the next time they play I'm calling it!

benedek is top 68 n world rank and otto is 450 is a big diference but otto still playing great
Otto has been consistenly ranked about 450-550 in the world for years. I'd hardly call that a casual.
It is quite difficult to watch with this angle, is it not?
Good match from Otto, but bad camera angle.
Yeah it should be 30 degres to the right because benedek is righty

First time the I saw Otto screaming😂
#2:11 that was a arrogant move, trying to compensate for losing the previous serve .
I bet he wouldn't do that if he wasn't ahead.
really close game! I thought Otto would win that game when it came down to 3-3 in sets, but still both players played really great
Benedek upped his intensity in the last set. You don't get to be number 60 in the world unless you can bring it when needed.

if otto's opponent have a game point,he's just gonna do a pongfinity challenge 😂🤣
During his serve Benedek's hand is pretty much always still hovering straight over the table and blocking the view when he contacts the ball. He should've gotten a ton of yellow cards.
You can't get a yellow card for covering the ball. The opponent simply gets the point if you cover the ball.
Unfortunately, that's just how basically any (semi-)pro plays. Legal serves must really be a disadvantage at the highest level.
Otto's biggest flaw compared to Benedek is his less actice footwork
Doesnt seem like a semi final 😢, sensei 😢😅
