- Whats up guys!
This is the first bash session with my new electronic setup in the Kraton XL. I chose to test the waters with a Surpass Hobby Rocket 1650kv motor. I used a hobbywing max6 esc to complete the combo. This motor has loads of torque, without sacrificing any top end. Also, it stays very cool compared to the stock BLX.

If you only got to 150/160 with no fan, I'll be able to get away with a 22 tooth with my crazy 7 fan setup in my bigrock 6s. Thanks for the video.

how high can the temperature of the engine be before it is taking damage?

I have a few Surpass Toro motors myself - they are dirt cheap, sensored and come in all kinds of KVs´...it´s really surprising they are not more popular. Nice air controll you got! Any idea what speed you got there with the 16t pinion?
Thanks brother! Yeah I'm a big fan of those rocket motors. I run a 2250 in my gt converted senton 6s. It takes a beating lap after lap and it's still going strong💪🏼. I did a speed test in one of my other videos. I think it was hitting very close to 60mph with the provided speed gear in it.
@@musthavewheels Nice! No heat issues in the Senton? I don´t know if that´s a heavy car or not.
I currently run a 1700kv sensored on a 21 pinion in my Kraton, on paper it should do exactly 60mph. allthough the bearings hold me back from hitting that. Motor gets pretty hot, even with that strong 40mm fan I have on it, but it only thermo´ed once.
It freakin´ ripps and I am absolutely happy with it :)
@@jotcw81 no overheating issues yet. It's about 8lbs with a battery in it. I only run it on 4s for circuit tho.

It's still in the truck. Running strong as ever. They are not as efficient as a castle motor. That being said, they produce more heat and may require a good cooling fan. But otherwise I have no complaints

Working great. I even have a 2250 in my senton 6s now. Taking beatings. Good bang for your buck. Make sure you have good fans to keep the temps low and it will last
What body is that you have on the kraton?
The kraton has the proline ram body. The kraton xl has a proline silverado body. It's an erevo body that was modified to fit the stretched chassis
Did you do a max6 or max5.
