    Glad you actually tested the volume. It seems spa companies don't always get their stats correct. And Jacuzzi SHOULD DEFINITELY partner with you. Great endorsement for them.

      I think they should too... Who knows maybe someday.

    Thanks for this channel, just discovered it and subscribed! Do you have any videos on the inner workings of the Jacuzzi frames? I have a Jacuzzi J-385 that came with my new (to me) home and it appears to have been shimmed which I am reading is a no-no due to the Jacuzzi base pan. It's shimmed with pressure treated wood on the sides and pressure treated plywood boards 4x8 cut in half in the center. Should I be worried? Everything is perfectly level right now.

    New subscriber! I've been dreaming about owning a hot tub for many many years!!! I think it will finally happen this year. I really liked your comment that you teach people how to fix them if there are any problems. That convinced me to subscribe. LOL I am looking into getting the J345 or J355. Thanks!

    Scott, What is the best way to fill a Jacuzzi? Should you fill through the hole in the filter or just put the water hose inside the jacuzzi? I have a Jacuzzi J340 that has been used in several years. Need to know the correct way to fill. In addition, should I get new filters or put the old ones in bleach-water? What is the best way to clean the interior of the spa (scum marks, etc...)? Thanks!

      (This is How I fill a JACUZZI Brand Spa Only)I fill with a hose into the Spa and I do put the hose in the filter hole without the screen. When the water is just above the highest jet... I turn the breaker on and I switch the hose to the filter hole with the screen(put your thumb over hose to really force water into hole) this will push water into the circulation pump and get the system primed and working...If that doesn't work or you error code I have another video titled.. It worked for me.
      *Note* Before you fill with water clean the hot tub with White Vinegar and REALLY REALLY Hot water. This will make the Hot Tub super clean... a new filter wouldn't hurt either.
      Thanks for watching and Subscribing ...I hope this Helps

    Hey Scott. I'm 19 and interested in the bussiness. How would I go about starting my own spa technician bussiness? I currently work for one and the owner is a jerk and would never divulge tips or information on this. I'm a technican apprentice and really enjoy working on hotubs. If I ever started my own I wouldn't sell hot tubs. Just winterize and service them. Can you give me any advice on this?

      WOW ...Good For You and you can do this it just take time. I started out just moving Hot tubs from point A to point B... Mostly used. I learned over time what hot tubs were good and witch were junk ...By age what fell apart what weighted a lot and witch one I could move all by my self...And I took tons of notes for the first ten years or so. Over time I learned everything by trial and error. There are many techs that do not use my methods but they work for me and I do not get call backs..Meaning when I fix it it is better then when it left the factory.
      In a round about way what I.m saying is You just have to start somewhere and don't give up keep really good notes on what works for you and what does not. Start slowly at first and learn everything you can before you move on to your next task .And watch every TH-cam video you can ( You can learn a lot from others even when they are wrong ) and watch them over and over again until it just become natural to you as to what needs to be done. over time you will learn that certain spas alway require the same repairs over and over again.
      And Alway ALWAYS turn off the power before you stick your hand anyplace around the electrical ... even if the customer says it is turned off YOU check it out for YOURSELF (Very Important)
      If you need some help you can call me anytime I do get very busy but I will try to help you as well as others if I can and at the very least get you going in the right direction.

      They are a good Spa.. If there is a dealer in your area that can give you service after the sale... I very much like a user friendly Spa and I want to see service after the sale..If there is no dealer in your area I would find a different Spa that is backed by a local dealer... Hope that Helps and Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

      @@spaman5440 Yes we have a sundance dealer here in hawaii. Do you think the 240 upgrade which will make it a 2 pump system with 4K heater and 10 additional jets is good they will give me the same price as the 110 version ? I think its a no brainer.

    I could use your advice. I have a hot tub that was recently wired by an electrician and it worked for a day and now there is no power. The gfci breaker is not tripping but there is no power on the control panel. Any suggestions?

    Wouldn’t it be simpler to read the capacity of each tube in the specifications? What is the point of the video. All manufactures provide that info. Also, the more contour and confort provided by the seats, the more space they take meaning less space for water. Again, not sure what myth is being busted.

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason I did this video is the manufacturer say in there paperwork that the J-355 hold 395/400 gallons of water depending on the year ... and the J-325 holds 335 gallons of water.(That is 60 to 65 Gallons) Now I new from years of working on Hot Tubs that both tubs would hold almost the same amount of water. And over the years Ive had many customers say by just looking at the tub that one or the other holds more water and most often they would be wrong..and with a 60+gallon difference I set out to show viewers what I set out to do... Thanks for watching & Subscribing
