6:08 I found that dipping the brush pens directly into a cup of water for a moment worked quite well to keep the colours vibrant and it helps make them less dull.

Nice and informative video!
As for the dryness of your watercolor brush pens, I got a 12 pack from Kmart and they seem to work really well when the tips are dipped directly into the water. I just do it gently so that the pigment doesn’t wash off the brush. Not sure if that would apply to your brush pens too? Is there anything on the packaging if you still have it?

I have several of those water brush pens in different brush sizes and i had to laugh when you tried to open yours because i know they are reversed threads lol
But dont worry
I had the same problem the first time
But briefly to those colour brush pens
It looks like to me that the once you've got are cheap copies of the original Sai brush pens from japan and 20 pens cost almost $200.00
I have a few of them and the colours are really amazing
I am in Melbourne and there is only one art supply shop who sells them in the shop
Naturally you can get them online but look for Sai brush pens

Thank you, yes the reverse thread did have me baffled 🤣 but it makes sense to keep it on securely. I know they are cheap brush pens but never having used them before it seemed better than investing in an expensive product that I may never use again. :) I do enjoy them for some loose, fun work though.

You should try out the regular Typo brush pens And do some calligraphy with those

My cousin has these and they aren't dry maybe you got a dry pack but hers was writing beautifully
