I think people just have a very fixed expectation for a console's price - it needs to be cheap or else pc is better. Personally I think the extra 1 TB storage is great, it would've cost $120 to buy an expansion SSD. Better GPU and ML Upscaling, stable 4k & 60 fps, no compromise needs to be made. The lifecycle of a console is so long, and the PS5 pro is more future-proof. You can say it's diminished return in terms of performance improvement, but i think the hardware itself is worth that money. Maybe when holiday sales comes by it'd be a better buy. PS: Most videos are bashing the PS5, which appeal to the viewers - that's what people want to hear. So props to you
Followers will always follow, no matter what facts and truthful evidence are presented to them. They just love feeling a part of something, especially if it fits their agenda/sentiments and even if it is wrong; to them the majority is always correct or they don't want to look like the odd person out... caring too much how other people will view them if they don't conform. In this case, like many other cases, they are ignorant, close minded, wrong and are cowardice in their actions, so they will stick with the pettiness of the majority. PS5 Pro is the way to innovation and on track with what Sony is doing as far as imersive gaming and gaining on pc gaming. The hdd, although I would like the option, not being included isn't a big deal either. Go digital, add it on or buy it later if you really feel you need it. Many people who have already beat their games won't even look back at it, and furthermore, if you have PS plus premium or even extra, you have the luxury of backwards compatible catalog and/or cloud streaming. I mean, the hdd not being added also takes off Sony's time and production cost on something that's going to be obsolete and a waste as well; that's just business. To me, spending an extra $80 isn't that big of a deal and not the heft of the Pro's price anyway. They are giving us 2TB ssd included lol that to me is a good deal and what we asked for... and yeah, boosts up the price. Nobody would have a problem if the price was $599. A 1.5x increase in price would have felt fair. Doesnt matter to me tho i can easily get $400 for my og ps5 disc edition where im at and then get the Pro for effectively $380.
I saw a ps5 and ps5 pro comparison with the last of us 2. The grass was blury on the pro and sharp on the base ps5. Another comparison the hair was blurry on the pro and sharper on the base. Are you sure the pro has a graphics and a performance mode?
@realtalk2528 that's the a.i. it's the same thing on pc when we use dlss but it's different settings for it and it depends on the game. Pssr will improve over time if they work on it properly.

It’s definitely deserves that price . The pro tech wise is now in the pc territory . Pssr doing that great job at the first versions is great news , it will get only better . Games will look crisp and high frames , now about internal resolution is irrelevant at this point , when the final result is better than the native resolution is a win win . People buy modi’s cards and pay twice the money of amd high end cards for the dlss tech , otherwise they would buy a much cheaper high end amd card than many times is more powerful at native settings . They gone mad at it and try to build pcs with that money now (quite shows how irrelevant most of them are , because it’s impossible at this price to build anything close to ps5 pro). It looks like the PS5 Pro's "performance mode" is more than powerful enough to run FF7Rebirth at it's originally intended max settings. That means there should be plenty of untapped resources on the PS5 Pro for Square Enix to add graphical bells & whistles that didn't exist in the release version, if they wanted to.
@@emcee009 I think the performance mode is actually the same as the base PS5 performance mode. It’s just that PSSR is able to boost and refine those pixels to make it look 4k. The PSSR is showing its value here into tricking your eyes. Its great!

But it will also include an extra Terabyte of storage! The closest PC equivalent that you could make yourself would cost at least $875, not including operating system and controller.

I got PS5 and mid end PC, will probably wait for new GPUs early 2025. Before I decide if I want PS5 Pro. Otherwise I think PS6 will be cheaper than PS5 PRO or same price at most. They probably want Pro to mean something and standard edition being for everyone.
I think the complaint is mostly the price and the fact that it doesn’t have a disc drive, not even a damn stand… like come on that’s pretty sleazy for a premium price item.
Can you do a video about PS5's performance with most of the famous/best games. Telling us how the games run on quality vs performance. How much good they look, how much of the difference both modes have on a big 4k tv. I have around 24 game discs, and was waiting for PS5 pro (sold ps4 slim a while ago). Should I consider the PS5 pro or standard PS5 would be good for me. Also, mentioning some of the discs are PS5 discs, and I think the ps5 pro is expensive for me.
I played this game on fidelity mode, so it basically looked like the ps5 pro, just 30fps, which really is no big deal 🤔 But I do hope ps5 pro will have fidelity modes in games as well, so we can get even nicer graphics, i be perfectly fine with 30 fps 😉
i would not say its a huge upgrade but its an upgrade for sure. ps5 pro is great for those who want it and can afford it. ps6 wont come out before 2027-2028. those who want to have the best console right now dont want to wait. thats a personal choice. some are ready to spend over 1000 on a video card for their pc. why not spend 700 for a console and 80 for a disc drive and 30 for a stand ? i dont think its so overpriced. the ps5 pro has double storage , better gpu , 10 percent cpu boost , better ray tracing and other things. i think its worth it. you get what you pay for. i saw many videos where they say the ps5 pro is good and does give a good improvement. many talk bad about it just because they not like the price but thats not the only thing you should look at.
I will be buying one,, but I can admit this is the best example a pro can make since the original game was just terribly optimized with blur. Most games will not have nearly this much improvement

Honestly I think digital is better [except for classics for nostalgia which is what all of this is about people not wanting to let go of the past] and more functional and easier experience also there are ALWAYS epic sales that places like GameStop and other retailers don't do as often as things like Game Pass and Playstation. I totally don't get why people aren't excited for the new console just because its expensive...
It is an improvement, I get your point. The problem is, it isn't ENOUGH of an improvement to justify the price tag. Especially considering that MOST people will want their console to have a disc drive, which is another $80 expense. You have to look at this from a practical (financial) point of view. And the PS5 Pro is anything but practical. For people who already own a PS5 (quite a few of us now), the PS5 Pro makes even LESS sense.

Let me explain what I mean by "practical". I'm taking exclusively about the price. I just CAN'T justify it personally. In my opinion, this console should have been $600, WITH the disc drive included. Not $700 plus another $80 for the disc drive. The disc drive is a must for me, I would not be content without it. So the pricing is just crossing the line for me. I mean, I care about resolution and frame rates too, but I HAVE to be realistic, and spending that much for the Pro just is not rational or logical to me. I'm not poor (but not rich)...and I think I am speaking for a large % of gamers in that the price is just too much. It's not that I CAN'T buy it...I just can't justify it. Having to buy the disc drive separately is like the straw the broke the camels back and just rubs me the wrong way.
Don't expect every game to be an improvement like Rebirth shown here. Rebirth looks like an abomination on the base PS5 as Squaresoft can't optimize. Even FF16 had fedelity issues. Rebirth is probably the worst looking AAA game on ps5 running at 60fps. Barely even looks passable as a PS4 game. Rebirth will have the biggest improvements other games won't feel as big of a leap. I've got mine preordered.

@@MajorBen it's very annoying how people get salty about such things. I'm just glad we have such a variety of ways to enjoy playing games. Right now I'm enjoying playing my games on my ASUS Rog Ally. I'm perfectly aware it's not a graphics powerhouse, but I have no problem playing some games at medium or even low settings (or not even playing some games at all). I've skipped both ps4 and ps5, but I'm set on byuing ps6 at launch, whenever that happens.

Sony never said that Ps5 will do 4K 60 with raytracing. You basically made this up. They indeed said 4K 60 and this is what every Ps5 exclusive is providing in performance mode.

The GPU is the EXACT same GPU as the launch PS5 with more compute units - the architexture etc has not changed at all. The CPU is IDENTICAL to the launch units - NO change at all. The amount of RAM is IDENTICAL to the launch units - 16GB.... and it does not even come with a blu-ray drive or vertical stand..... for $700!?!?! Over all, the PS5 Pro is reported to be a mere 45% more powerful (due to the GPU extra compute units) than a 4 year old base PS5..... yet costs more than 50% more than a slim PS5 digital. The PS4 Pro was comparitively MUCH more powerful than the base PS4 and only cost about 30% more. Face it, the PS5 Pro is a joke, a bad joke.

Small tip for future videos - if you have to try and zoom in on a tiny section of gameplay and compare side by side AND have the TINY improvement in resolution and detail pointed out to you or you would most probably miss it, it means there is only a TINY difference. :) Seriously? its still not what the gamers asked for. Alot of people are still on ps4 because the ps5 is expensive. this will not make them jump to ps5. I know thats not the reason for the pro. But i think they should have spent that development time to try and come up with a cheaper ps5 instead.
Not HUGE. Yeah it is an upgrade but not at that price point. For €650 i got two controllers and two games almost 3 years ago. Now they are asking 150 more in euros for less product. NO NO NO, BAD SONY.

If you think this is HUGE improvement.. then you have never played on a PC, or you just got a free PS5 from Sony. For that amount you can get an entry level gaming pc and start learning your way towards a better experience indefinitely.. This is more biased than Sony's praising Concord.
An entry level gaming pc wouldn’t stack up against this ps5 pro. I beg to differ, the Pc gaming experience is subjective and can go from your typical sitting down guy in front of a 24’ monitor to more advanced set ups, been gaming since the Atari 2600 - made the jump to PC gaming around the Snes time and been since. I comfortably play my games on a 75 LG with Gsync, recliners and a 9.1 D Atmos set up so yes PC gaming is not only for desks, it’s all subjective to how much you can afford. Also a low end 4060 with a well optimized OS will beat a PS5 with ease not to mention that you’ll have a library of anything you can ever play-from your early 90s pc games and to date without accumulating a console in your closet for every generation unless you are a collector, let’s be real if you could offer a Gaming Pc to a console user they’d jump to it in a heartbeat so let’s cut the bullshit and call it as it is, Pc gaming is expensive bottom line and that’s why the console market exists - cost and simplicity.

@The_MEMEphis well luckily I'm fortunate enough to find out. They say the game boost will help all games, including ps4 titles. So here's hoping everything gets the boost it needs. I just upgraded to a 4k monitor and can tell my og ps5 is struggling to hit its mark.
Rebirth and Dragon's Dogma 2 have made me excited for the Pro.

I saw a ps5 and ps5 pro comparison with the last of us 2. The grass was blury on the pro and sharp on the base ps5. Another comparison the hair was blurry on the pro and sharper on the base. Are you sure the pro has a graphics and a performance mode?
@realtalk2528 that's the a.i. it's the same thing on pc when we use dlss but it's different settings for it and it depends on the game. Pssr will improve over time if they work on it properly.
@@realtalk2528you won’t notice during regular gameplay. The key thing here is getting performance mode running at 4k instead of being blurry. That’s the difference.

It’s definitely deserves that price . The pro tech wise is now in the pc territory . Pssr doing that great job at the first versions is great news , it will get only better . Games will look crisp and high frames , now about internal resolution is irrelevant at this point , when the final result is better than the native resolution is a win win . People buy modi’s cards and pay twice the money of amd high end cards for the dlss tech , otherwise they would buy a much cheaper high end amd card than many times is more powerful at native settings . The upscaling sampling tech is the future

It looks like the PS5 Pro's "performance mode" is more than powerful enough to run FF7Rebirth at it's originally intended max settings. That means there should be plenty of untapped resources on the PS5 Pro for Square Enix to add graphical bells & whistles that didn't exist in the release version, if they wanted to.

@@emcee009 I think the performance mode is actually the same as the base PS5 performance mode. It’s just that PSSR is able to boost and refine those pixels to make it look 4k. The PSSR is showing its value here into tricking your eyes. Its great!

But it will also include an extra Terabyte of storage! The closest PC equivalent that you could make yourself would cost at least $875, not including operating system and controller.

I got PS5 and mid end PC, will probably wait for new GPUs early 2025. Before I decide if I want PS5 Pro.
Otherwise I think PS6 will be cheaper than PS5 PRO or same price at most.
They probably want Pro to mean something and standard edition being for everyone.
I think the complaint is mostly the price and the fact that it doesn’t have a disc drive, not even a damn stand… like come on that’s pretty sleazy for a premium price item.

Can you do a video about PS5's performance with most of the famous/best games. Telling us how the games run on quality vs performance. How much good they look, how much of the difference both modes have on a big 4k tv.
I have around 24 game discs, and was waiting for PS5 pro (sold ps4 slim a while ago). Should I consider the PS5 pro or standard PS5 would be good for me. Also, mentioning some of the discs are PS5 discs, and I think the ps5 pro is expensive for me.

I played this game on fidelity mode, so it basically looked like the ps5 pro, just 30fps, which really is no big deal 🤔
But I do hope ps5 pro will have fidelity modes in games as well, so we can get even nicer graphics, i be perfectly fine with 30 fps 😉
i would not say its a huge upgrade but its an upgrade for sure. ps5 pro is great for those who want it and can afford it. ps6 wont come out before 2027-2028. those who want to have the best console right now dont want to wait. thats a personal choice. some are ready to spend over 1000 on a video card for their pc. why not spend 700 for a console and 80 for a disc drive and 30 for a stand ? i dont think its so overpriced. the ps5 pro has double storage , better gpu , 10 percent cpu boost , better ray tracing and other things. i think its worth it. you get what you pay for. i saw many videos where they say the ps5 pro is good and does give a good improvement. many talk bad about it just because they not like the price but thats not the only thing you should look at.
I will be buying one,, but I can admit this is the best example a pro can make since the original game was just terribly optimized with blur. Most games will not have nearly this much improvement
We're seeing more and more games with poor performance modes. Dragon's Dogma 2 and Alan Wake 2 come to mind.

It is an improvement, I get your point. The problem is, it isn't ENOUGH of an improvement to justify the price tag. Especially considering that MOST people will want their console to have a disc drive, which is another $80 expense. You have to look at this from a practical (financial) point of view. And the PS5 Pro is anything but practical. For people who already own a PS5 (quite a few of us now), the PS5 Pro makes even LESS sense.

I don't think a pro is supposed to be practical. It's supposed to give a refined experience for people that care about resolution and frames.

Let me explain what I mean by "practical". I'm taking exclusively about the price. I just CAN'T justify it personally. In my opinion, this console should have been $600, WITH the disc drive included. Not $700 plus another $80 for the disc drive. The disc drive is a must for me, I would not be content without it. So the pricing is just crossing the line for me. I mean, I care about resolution and frame rates too, but I HAVE to be realistic, and spending that much for the Pro just is not rational or logical to me. I'm not poor (but not rich)...and I think I am speaking for a large % of gamers in that the price is just too much. It's not that I CAN'T buy it...I just can't justify it. Having to buy the disc drive separately is like the straw the broke the camels back and just rubs me the wrong way.

Don't expect every game to be an improvement like Rebirth shown here. Rebirth looks like an abomination on the base PS5 as Squaresoft can't optimize. Even FF16 had fedelity issues. Rebirth is probably the worst looking AAA game on ps5 running at 60fps. Barely even looks passable as a PS4 game.
Rebirth will have the biggest improvements other games won't feel as big of a leap. I've got mine preordered.

Right now I'm enjoying playing my games on my ASUS Rog Ally. I'm perfectly aware it's not a graphics powerhouse, but I have no problem playing some games at medium or even low settings (or not even playing some games at all).
I've skipped both ps4 and ps5, but I'm set on byuing ps6 at launch, whenever that happens.

?!?!? Lol, you HAVE to be joking?! The PS5 Pro is a "HUGE" upgrade?! It is a MINOR upgrade at a HUGE price. The GPU is the EXACT same GPU as the launch PS5 with more compute units - the architexture etc has not changed at all. The CPU is IDENTICAL to the launch units - NO change at all. The amount of RAM is IDENTICAL to the launch units - 16GB.... and it does not even come with a blu-ray drive or vertical stand..... for $700!?!?!
Over all, the PS5 Pro is reported to be a mere 45% more powerful (due to the GPU extra compute units) than a 4 year old base PS5..... yet costs more than 50% more than a slim PS5 digital.
The PS4 Pro was comparitively MUCH more powerful than the base PS4 and only cost about 30% more.

Small tip for future videos - if you have to try and zoom in on a tiny section of gameplay and compare side by side AND have the TINY improvement in resolution and detail pointed out to you or you would most probably miss it, it means there is only a TINY difference. :)

I beg to differ, the Pc gaming experience is subjective and can go from your typical sitting down guy in front of a 24’ monitor to more advanced set ups, been gaming since the Atari 2600 - made the jump to PC gaming around the Snes time and been since. I comfortably play my games on a 75 LG with Gsync, recliners and a 9.1 D Atmos set up so yes PC gaming is not only for desks, it’s all subjective to how much you can afford. Also a low end 4060 with a well optimized OS will beat a PS5 with ease not to mention that you’ll have a library of anything you can ever play-from your early 90s pc games and to date without accumulating a console in your closet for every generation unless you are a collector, let’s be real if you could offer a Gaming Pc to a console user they’d jump to it in a heartbeat so let’s cut the bullshit and call it as it is, Pc gaming is expensive bottom line and that’s why the console market exists - cost and simplicity.

@The_MEMEphis well luckily I'm fortunate enough to find out. They say the game boost will help all games, including ps4 titles. So here's hoping everything gets the boost it needs. I just upgraded to a 4k monitor and can tell my og ps5 is struggling to hit its mark.
