Also to ensure no slavery, young people dont get married and dont get a girl pregnant, make sure she takes the birth control pill daily in front of you and both wear protection. Money actually does change people.. We are animals at the end of the day having so much power and being so far removed from normal society does something to us. People with a lot of money always start to feel they deserve what they have and others just didn't work as hard, aren't as good and everything is fair. There's research on this, I used to think that money didn't change people too but just revealed who they were. But that just isn't the case it seems. Mind you, it's not that everyone is going to be just as bad. People who come from little and are empathic won't be as bad as these types. What's necessary often times to become rich is a cutthroat attitude so most of these people started as horrible people, so that part is certainly true.. But none of us are immune, reasons why I have no dreams or desires of being wealthy..

That said, you are right that "most" of the rich have the same attitude. Most of those who come from little & reach the top are more empathetic. One point you have to remember is, most of the research is probably US centric. Other cultures, especially from the boomer era communist countries have different outcomes.

That actually isn't forced suppression. Forced suppression is when Hollywood celebrities or change their accent in accordance with where they are or who they want to be perceived as (Madonna's British accent comes to mind). As foreigners get more fluent, they'll adopt the local accent. Hispanics in the Rural South speak Southern English for example, whereas urban ones speak Midwestern Neutral or Northeastern Urbanite Colloquial. In India, they speak English to the point where for some people it is a primary language, but it is British English with Hindi slang. It is only natural for someone to shift to how we speak here after a number of years unless they are an introvertive recluse. Not defending the guys actions, and I acknowledge some people do take speech therapy classes to shift faster and better fit in socially, I just think the accent or lack thereof is the least of the issues here.

Like, you mean to tell me nobody has ever worked a job where they are taking anywhere from 2-4 hours' worth of work, and stretching it across 8 hours, simply to keep the appearance of being busy? If it's true, it sounds like you have a management problem, and a culture problem. Let's also be honest, even if everyone was being productive every waking hour and hit their numbers or productivity goals, it would never be enough to keep the people at the top happy. They'd just increase your performance expectations. Never mind if it's doable, or even worth the hassle and employee burnout.

the 25 mil bonus is so insane, it's hard to even comprehend. I remember at my office about 5 years ago, if someone got a few hundred pounds more than another person, they would be immediately jealous. Or if the boss simply denied the extra money from bonuses (bonus = more work, overtime, but you don't get paid overtime. You got paid for doing extra work). Happened to me as well. That's only hundreds of pounds. But 25 mil? An ammount which is 25.000 times bigger? Wow. We were only 30 people in our entire department, you can even count every single person that came and went, you can count ALL the people in the building, and each person could probably get a 10.000 usd bonus out of thin air. I worked my ass off like a slave this year in so many jobs and so many cities, just to save 10.000 euro. All my savings in 1 year, no holiday, no disco, no life, no home, no girlfriend no kids no nothing. And this piece of shit just takes 25.000.000 and the news is completely silent because all they report is muh corona virus. Fuck the virus, what about THIS? It's such a gigantic ammount while people starve on the streets. And the police would do NOTHING. And people wonder why nobody trusts the justice system. And even more disturbing is how these kinds of bonuses are normal.
