@@ducatobeing yes I think so about the nose fairing but I had a lot of people disagree with me! It is on the pricey side but you are getting a lot of bike for your money 🤩
Hi Kaz, I'm new to the channel. I bought the CR version about 2 months ago. Not had it out much as the weather has been pants. Roll on summer I say. You think it's loud ? Try one with the de-cat link pipe ❤
Yep, I have a ST1200 Darren and absolutely love mine but the Commando is a completely different bike, I would have the commando as well as not instead of my ST - oh and a lottery win to be able to do that 🤣
@@BikerKazZ Yes Kaz, as a second bike for high days and holidays a Norton in the garage would be nice. I have paired my bikes down to just one now, as I could not be bothered with the hassle and stress of looking after multiple machines. Unfortunately I do not think the 961 would suit as a single option. Uncertainty over quality/spares etc and not having trust in Norton themselves. It was the thought of buying a white elephant that ultimately put me off.
I know they’re different spectrum’s of the bike market but really Kaz what do you prefer riding? That beautiful Norton or the Kawasaki Z900rs you rode a couple of years ago. I love the thought of owning a 961. There’s a few things Norton need to look at improving for the money it costs. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and review.
Hey Gary, I would love to own a 961 too, there’s definitely something about this bike that appeals to me, it has an abundance of character and I prefer riding the 961 to the Z900RS. I don’t think I could go touring on the Norton though but great for ride outs 😎 keep me posted if you do get one, I’d be interested to hear what you think of the Norton too 🏍️
British Lady, British Bike, British Country Roads......awesome video Kaz And in the next video 'Kaz goes to the Norton dealers and buys a new motorcycle' 😂
That 78-BHP pushrod engine is a bit lame paired the 5-speed gearbox, would you say? I wish they would reintroduce the Dominator but find someone to juice up that engine, so its not such a sheep in wolf's clothing.
Yes, I kind of agree about the 78 bhp but it does actually suit the bike when you’re riding it if that makes sense! but I wouldn’t turn down more bhp if it was on offer 😜
well done love it from Australia
ahh thank you, I really appreciate you saying that 😊
I agree, the fitting of a nose fairing would be a very good idea. A bit dear, but a lovely machine.

Great video, saw the bike today and it looked great. 👍🏼
Thank you, I appreciate you saying that 😁 good to hear you liked the bike too, it is very beautiful 😍
Not many people understand what this bike is all about.... but you certainly do Kaz ! Great Stuff !
Ahh thank you 😊 Yes, I totally get this bike, it's so full of character and so interesting and fun to ride, really sad now that it has gone back 😭

Very nice too Sean, I can see why it’s a keeper 😍

I think so too Giles, such a character of a bike to ride 😎
lovely bike Kaz, interesting video as always 👍
Thank you Rod, I really appreciate you saying that 😊
@@BikerKazZ No problem, we love our bikes don’t we 🙂 funnily enough I put a new video up this morning on my latest restoration
@@mcmechanic864 excellent Rod, I’ll head over to check it out 👍
👍🙂
Test rode one of these but went for a Speed Twin instead and I`m glad I did. Much better bike in every way, in my humble opinion.

@@darrenhall6509 I can understand that, people need to get confidence back into the brand
@@darrenhall6509 +1 only time will tell if these bikes are any good and whether Norton will actually still exist.
Nice looking bike and it sounds great 👍
I think it’s very nice too Ozzy, sounds and looks beautiful 😍

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ll certainly be in touch if I do decide to spend a bit of my retirement money. ☺️
Thanks for the great review. How tall are you?
Thank you Annabel, I appreciate you saying that ☺️ I’m 5’6”
Definitely a real looker with perfect proportions. Surprised it only has 76bhp though
I absolutely love it, sounds and rides beautifully, weirdly the 76bhp is enough though 😜
British Lady, British Bike, British Country Roads......awesome video Kaz

I really wish I could make that next video 🤩
Yes the sound is important on that kind of bike..and the hp is more an enough..its not a bike for the track anyway..and it looks werry good..
I agree, the sounds of these bikes are what endears us to them 😍
The soind of the engine idle. That is what we want to hear
It does sound good at idle, you can hear it when I start the bike up on the video, very nice 👌
How much?
Hi, it’s £17k
Torque figure is what...??
Hi 👋 torque is 65 lb⋅ft (88 N⋅m) @ 5200 rpm and the price is £17k

Fair enough, it's not for everyone 😂
I loved this video! You English women are the best. I regret that I didn't go over there and marry one of you!😚
Ahh thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to watch my review 🤩
Brake reservoir is a jam jar…vibrations and lack of HP..way over priced.
It all adds to the character of the bike 😎
