Nugget, one of my favourite interviewees. Cool guy. Loves the F3, even though he flew the Hornet. Love that.

33:20 Reminds me of Lt Col Dan Hamptons book where he lands a flight of F16s in a sandstorm, not quite the same but thinking on your feet, in the air, with a certain deadline.

The early mention of Stennis… I wonder if Nugget came to my hometown of Hobart, Tasmania on one of their visits here in the 90s. I loved seeing those CVNs(and even one of the old Forrestals!) when one would visit. I also loved having a few frothies with a few of their crew on occasion, as I was former RAN by then.
In my time myself and 2 of my shipmates got a personalised tour on an aforementioned Forrestal class carrier after a random meeting with a VERY generous and all around great bloke serving onboard. I wish I could remember his name, but I’m sure he was a red shirt. The Ranger battle group arrived in Singapore when we also happened to be there on a South East Asian “Flying the Flag” deployment. I could not believe how many ships were in that battle group! Way more surface combatants than our entire Navy! We’re talking Adams class, Spruance class, maybe even a Kidd, I don’t know. There may have been Ticos or even early Burkes in the mix somewhere, but I didn’t see any. That was the Cold War however. We were a 2 warship deployment…🤣
Now, I’m going to watch the rest…

This is awesome Mike thanks for setting this up! We and by that I mean I need a Q&A with this guy. I will bombard him with Hornet questions. Getting to ear about these stories in real life that I do in DCS is so cool.

The Marine Corps is the ultimate military force. They literally do it all, land, Air and sea.
And land and Sea air operations.
No other military organization can do everything

lol that makes them the bottom of the heap do a bit of everything masters of none. airforce is clearly number one if you could only have 1 force it has to be airforce.

@albertkelly7129 jack of all trades master of none, most times better then the master of one.

@albertkelly7129 the air force is the least versital of all the air power.
The main thing they bring to the fight is heavy bombers.

Hi Martin. Many thanks for the order and great to hear you love the channel. Very sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we don’t have control of when they ship etc. Most TH-cam stores use print on demand companies like Spring, so essentially we rely on the companies to deliver what they say.
The best bet is to contact them and I have had a look and this is what they suggest community.teespring.com/training-center/teesprings-customer-support/
