THE RETURN OF THE GO TRANSIT OLD CAB CARS!!!!!!

When I heard 206 was placed into service, I just knew that I had to see it! So I went down to the Kitchener line to see it! And boy the nostalgia hit hard with this one!

I used to take GO Transit everyday for 4 years (1986-1990) from Burlington to TO to go to uni. A lot has changed since then. We still had de-motored F units as HEP for the rush hour 10 car trains, off peak trains were 4 cars with one of these cab cars on the opposite end from the power unit. Last year I took GO from Port Credit to Union, and the car had wifi! One thing you don’t see anymore are newspapers on the seats or the floors.

Was certainly a different time! Afraid I wasn’t alive to see that time, I grew up in the time GO Trains were all F59s and old BiLevel cab cars, with the MP40s starting to enter service

Wow awesome catch. They look as good as brand new even just in the new livery. What do the seats and interiors look like now with them refurbished to look as good as new?

Honestly the interior and seats are pretty similar to their prerefurb state, the only difference is the blue fabrics got swapped out for the green ones on most MX scheme cars now
