Man. I miss the old Toronto, no where near amount of congestion. I haven't seen the Gardiner that smooth moving since I was a baby.
I used to ride the eastshore line in the early 00s. Miss those times
On the approach to Union, it sounded like one of them was making a run to Second Cup and would bring the others something back
I worked the Piedmont trains at Amtrak for a while and they used former GO F59's. They don't have dynamic brakes, they have blended, but you can't manually put them into dynamics as the throttle stops at idle. The thing that was annoying about them was you couldn't stretch brake with them, the load would drop if you set the air while under load. I'm not sure if that was an original feature or if that was a modification that took place when NCDOT purchased them.

Wow, so where the up express train station is, it used to be just a concrete wall from the looks of it. I can’t imagine looking at union station without the up express station

Well it looks so much differ in between well it looks so much different back than in around 30 years ago compare to 2023 so!.
They don't make them like they used to, that's for sure.
