Sony puts on a holiday sale for the month basically. There are plenty of good deals here like the Hollyland and a7iv. Even the stuff that has been on sale in the past for the same price - I would still rather not pay full price!!
So I bought the Hollyland mics (using the M. Bennett link from a previous video) and have to say I’m 100% impressed with the build quality. They sound great and are super simple to use. So simple even a boomer like me can master them in about 6 hours…just kidding - about 5 minutes. Plug & play and away you go. Thanks for the great review.
just got my ulanzi camera fan (the new one with the removable battery). It's ok, but I'm not impressed. Glad I got it for 28€ with battery, which is the price without battery, I think it was a mistake of the aliexpress shop. It's not worth the roughly over 40€. The fan is too loud to be used in the studio, no matter if level 1 or 2. It might be fine outside when you're further away from the camera in a louder environment, but then I'm curious if the cooling will be good enough. The weather is too cold to properly test it atm. In the studio it was doing good enough at level 2. Battery life was quite good during my first test, 30 minutes at level 1 and then 50 minutes more at level 2 until it died.

I'll clear it up of you. I get a 4% commission on Amazon and Amazon affiliates are 90% of my affiliate income. I can count on one hand the number of lenses bought on a Chinese site that gave me more than 4% commission. So on a $150 lens - I get $6. And then I pay Canadian tax on that - which is 45%. So I make $3.30. Maybe not pennies, but not far off.

I am tending to go to the higher mega pixel cameras. Sony A7CR & A7RV are excellent cameras. I also own the Leica Q3 28mm and love the images from these cameras. They are pretty good in low light also. Cheers!
I love the content, I would like to ask a camera question to anyone who knows, I recently bought 2 Sony ZVE10 cameras, after recording video, to transfer you are required to either remove the storage to transfer or disable PC REMOTE to enable mass storage, this seems like a pain since I have camera directly connected to my PC. Is there a way without getting up for each camera after shooting and change settings to transfer the video files. Maybe a special duel memory card adaptor or anything, even my old camera did not need this...please help, anyone.
As long as you don't need 4k120, the A7Cii will be the better camera. But the a6700. The both have cheap lens options - but the a6700 will have MORE cheap lens options
I ordered the Viltrox 20mm f2.8, and I saw later today Amazon was running a deal on the Sony 50mm f1.8 new for $142 (ships from UK though). So I got 2 lenses under 300 bucks. I'm drooling over some of the GM lenses, but that's not quite in the budget. Maybe tax time?

the S9 is now the best bang for the buck camera on the market, all things considered, period. But you have to watch for defective ones. Many of them out there have beeping noises from faulty preamps. My third one was good.
Dang Mark you put the SAMSUNG T7 Portable SSD, 2TB on your list. For $50 less I can get 6 TB non SSD (WD_BLACK 6TB P10 Game Drive, Portable External Hard). I'm backing up video. I live in Manila and $200 is the magic number before customs fees kicks in (great Steam Punk drop in the video).
