Masashi Kishimoto did another manga called Samurai 8 which has a concept very similar to Star Wars but it’s about samurai instead. I’d strongly advise reading it, but unfortunately there are only 8 volumes of it 😢

Yagura was always one of those characters that stood out to me even though he was manipulated i still think he was one of the strongest characters in naruto especially being one of the first to become a complete jinchuriki even despite how young he was, i just think obito could have manipulated almost anyone with kotoamatsokami so that doesnt make him feel any less powerful in my eyes
Itachi is not unable to fight yagura alone, but itachi doesn't want to.. Because itachi knew obito/tobi's plan was to awaken the 10 tails.. And obito/tobi also knew itachi's true role, when itachi joined akatsuki.. If itachi can capture yagura, then the other jinchuriki, that will cause the plan to capture naruto to be accelerated.. And that will threaten the safety of konoha in the near future.. also can be seen with no involvement of itachi in capturing jinchuriki, except kyubi/naruto.. And the failure of the plan to capture naruto was actually not only prevented by ero sennin, but also by itachi.. Itachi is able to capture all the jinchuriki, without the need of anyone's help..
Of course and tbh his reasons we're better than obito and his plans made more sense than Madara (people would have died in days without food x water stuck in a genjutsu)

Zabhza actually sounds like a protagonist in this case. His people was being oppressed and children were forced to murder children. The fact he tried to assassinate the leader of such atrocities shows him as more of a resistance fighter. Kind of interesting cause when I first watched Naruto I thought he was the bad guy.
I just thought about this, but how could Yagura, a Jinchuriki that could control his biju be put under a genjutso? We know that genjutsos don't work on jinchurikis with control of their bijus bcs the biju gives chakra to the jinchuriki to break the genjutso! We saw it with Killer Bee vs Sasuke! Dude snapped out of a mangekyo sharingan genjutso. Just like Naruto became imune to genjutso after he got on good terms with Kurama. And even if the genjutso was placed with a rinnegan, which it wasn't because at the time the rinnegan eyes were on Nagato, it wouldn't work, otherwise Sasuke would have done it in the final battle against Naruto, or Madada and Obito in the war. The only genjutso I could see working on a jinchuriki are Tsukuyomi, Kotoamatsukami and Izanami. Tsukuyomi would work because even if the Biju snapped him out of it, the time perception would still fuck him up. However, it is a torture genjutso so it doesn't apply here, and Obito didn't have it, so this isn't the case. Kotoamatsukami might work because the Biju may or may not realize that an idea was planted on the jinchuriki's head, but again, Obito did not have it. And Izanami would definitely work, and Obito could have used it, but it is just an imobilization genjutso, not a control one, so idk. The only other way I can see this play out is if Obito put both the Jinchuriki and the Biju under a genjutso, but I don't think it is possible, otherwise we would have seen some mofo do that. We only saw Biju under genjutso that were not sealed!
Tbh, it would be interesting to watch a filler arc where Naruto and Konoha 12 healpe Mei terumi to liberate hidden mist village from yagura's tyranny. At least it would be better than we got a three tails Arc from episode 90 to 112. Yagura was always one of those characters that stood out to me even though he was manipulated i still think he was one of the strongest characters in naruto especially being one of the first to become a complete jinchuriki even despite how young he was, i just think obito could have manipulated almost anyone with kotoamatsokami so that doesnt make him feel any less powerful in my eyes

Itachi is not unable to fight yagura alone, but itachi doesn't want to.. Because itachi knew obito/tobi's plan was to awaken the 10 tails.. And obito/tobi also knew itachi's true role, when itachi joined akatsuki..
If itachi can capture yagura, then the other jinchuriki, that will cause the plan to capture naruto to be accelerated.. And that will threaten the safety of konoha in the near future.. also can be seen with no involvement of itachi in capturing jinchuriki, except kyubi/naruto..
And the failure of the plan to capture naruto was actually not only prevented by ero sennin, but also by itachi..
Itachi is able to capture all the jinchuriki, without the need of anyone's help..

And obito didn’t had control of him during that fight.Probably after mizukage hit by itachi's ametarasue, obito started control him

Zabhza actually sounds like a protagonist in this case. His people was being oppressed and children were forced to murder children. The fact he tried to assassinate the leader of such atrocities shows him as more of a resistance fighter. Kind of interesting cause when I first watched Naruto I thought he was the bad guy.

I just thought about this, but how could Yagura, a Jinchuriki that could control his biju be put under a genjutso? We know that genjutsos don't work on jinchurikis with control of their bijus bcs the biju gives chakra to the jinchuriki to break the genjutso! We saw it with Killer Bee vs Sasuke! Dude snapped out of a mangekyo sharingan genjutso. Just like Naruto became imune to genjutso after he got on good terms with Kurama. And even if the genjutso was placed with a rinnegan, which it wasn't because at the time the rinnegan eyes were on Nagato, it wouldn't work, otherwise Sasuke would have done it in the final battle against Naruto, or Madada and Obito in the war. The only genjutso I could see working on a jinchuriki are Tsukuyomi, Kotoamatsukami and Izanami. Tsukuyomi would work because even if the Biju snapped him out of it, the time perception would still fuck him up. However, it is a torture genjutso so it doesn't apply here, and Obito didn't have it, so this isn't the case. Kotoamatsukami might work because the Biju may or may not realize that an idea was planted on the jinchuriki's head, but again, Obito did not have it. And Izanami would definitely work, and Obito could have used it, but it is just an imobilization genjutso, not a control one, so idk. The only other way I can see this play out is if Obito put both the Jinchuriki and the Biju under a genjutso, but I don't think it is possible, otherwise we would have seen some mofo do that. We only saw Biju under genjutso that were not sealed!
