Oh my goodness LuLu - I am not sure how I missed the Ms Lila video but I just watched it and I got so choked up…. Really touching ❤️❤️
I love the way you plant them, make the holes by burning through holes that’s genius. Wish I was smart enough to plant. I’m to fat , disabled. Just useless, your garden is beautiful.♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍👍👍
I’ve heard of “Leave It To Beaver” - this is Leave It to Lulu. Leave it to Lulu to find the most efficient way to make holes in landscape cloth! Brilliant!
Lulu you are so much fun. I live in Missouri, my husband Always has a big garden every year. Yours is so much better. I have looking at vans, someday I’ll take off into the wild.
Lulu you’re the queen of ingenuity! Your attention to detail and thought put into it is wonderful. I gave up on veg gardening, my soil was very poor and I was getting no returns and couldn’t afford the water or soil amendment. Just doing basil, oregano, parsley in pots and a big sage in the ground, leaf lettuce in a trough. I let my lawn go natural and don’t use pesticides, and make skin salves for personal use, dandelion, plantain, clover, sage, violet, etc. It’s just nice to
be outdoors and a great privilege to have land in a big city.
I love the idea of letting your yard go wild and then creating slaves, etc for your own use. I used to garden around the perimeter of my apt in the city where I lived. We weren't allowed to let the grass get too high, etc but I still enjoyed my flowers and veggies and so did my neighbors.
What a great idea for holes in the tarp plastic. What a brilliant idea!!
Love your garden Lulu. You differently have a green thumb. You planted enough to feed your neighborhood. Love watching your videos. Please keep them coming.
WOW , very well done, nice garden.
I got to see my five year old granddaughter recently and every time she ate something she would say “ that’s delish”. I constantly thought of you on that trip. 😂😂 Have a great weekend Lulu. Thank you for all you do.
Wow! What a busy beaver you are. Good for you. Before becoming disabled with MS, forcing me to sell my home, gardening veggies and perennials was my passion. Harvesting the fruits of my labour was so rewarding. I, so, enjoyed watching your creative, ingenious technique for planting yours. Torching those holes, in the fabric was quick & easy.
Lots of luck for a successful harvest. Come to think of it, if you are gone, at that time, who will harvest and eat the crops?
The bicycle is a great addition to the front bed.
One of the things I miss, was the sound of birds, around your garden.
Your energy level is astounding. You are getting a good workout, without going to the gym.
Thank you, as always, for taking time to let us know what you are up to.
It's always fun seeing what you are up to.
A devoted fan,
Heather 🇨🇦❤
I will not be gone at the time of harvest!!!
Love your idea on making the wholes in garden fabric. The bike out front is going to be beautiful. Great wok LuLu 😊.
Looks fabulous!! I rent a small cottage and The backyards actually bigger than the whole house. Which is perfect for me.. But I can't plant anything in ground And and I love gardening. So When I moved here I got some of those very same grow bags... It kind of feel like thick felt and I wasn't sure they would work at all.I thought they would just fall apart.... To my happy surprise they work fantastic. I have grown everything in them. The roots don't overheat like they do in pots. It gets very hot the summer. Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Green beans, Several different kinds of peppers, Three different kinds of squash, lettuce And Many many different kinds of herbs and flowers. All thriving !! Best type of container I ever bought to grow something in for sure. Believe me I've tried them all. Lol
I love gardening! I have been gardening a lot of years, but I am more like.....let's toss some seeds in my raised beds and see what grows. I always get plenty of good stuff. I don't have as much space as you do. You are very organized and have some great ideas. I will be watching to see what you harvest later on.
Love all your ideas. Great video.
I might actually learn to have my own garden when my daddy no longer can. He’s 91 and has a nice garden but we have rocky Arkansas soil which isn’t great. But the garden looks pretty good so far.
Love you and your videos Lulu💕🌹💕🌹
Fresh arugula is AMAZING! Butter lettuce is great too and easy to grow.
Great job. Can’t wait to see the green green houses in full glory
Thanks for sharing
Karen from Florida 🌴💕

I don't know if it's a "guarantee", I just asked somebody that uses it and that's what they said!! best bet is to read all the info on the material and then look at the reviews!!! is this Julia, from my meetup, that gave me all those fabulous gifts (the scarves)? I listened to your music, absolutely fabulous!! 😊

Yay! The bicycle 🚲 planter would really looks perfect when the flowers comes out.
What a wonderful garden you have! Great job! My favorite vegetable from the garden is green beans too! I love them a little overgrown when they have fat beans in their middles. Yum! Thanks for sharing what your doing! Can't wait to see the veggies in full bloom.

Great idea to use the burner for making your planting holes. Good luck on your garden this year, everything looks beautiful so far, Lulu.
Great idea! when you first started the garden tour i was wondering how you got those perfect holes in there!
Love your garden LuLu! The son gold tomatoes are my favorite. They are super delish!
Hi Lulu 🙋♀️ Lots of hard work ❤😊 Have a great day ❤️😊
❤ Your little Bunny is so Cute!🐰 Bunny Plays Here!🤩👍
I didn’t see a link to the garden torch… would love to find that. Gardening is so satisfying in many ways, obviously nutrition, but it’s so therapeutic to dig in the dirt and make the effort to plant something and get new life., development and harvest. You make it look so effortless. I’m thankful to God that your knee is better and you’re able to go up and down from the kneeling position so easily now. Once again, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge.

🙏🌸
Hey Lulu when you were talking about the buckets you use, was that a chipmunk or a rat that ran behind you ? Little surprise 😅
chipmunk!! they are so cute and all over the place!!!!
Love the little torch never thought about using it to make the hole in the ground cover. It was great and would work great on my raised beds. I can’t get on my knees.. I will have to get that ground cover it looks like it is much better than the ones I have used in the past. What was the name of the beans you use?
Kentucky Wonder Beans, my fav!!!
Oh my word. How did you come up with using a torch? It makes such neat holes. Brilliant.
I was amazed at how tiny the seeds are.
It will be interesting to see what happens. I love to follow the progress of these transformational projects. Be it a garden, or an interior. Good luck. But honestly, what will you do with all of that kale? 😯 You will have to find an art project . LOL
I will eat most of that kale. and I will graciously share my overabundance of anything I grow with others!!
Hehehe I'm first to comment 🤪. Wonderful garden Lulu
Lulu what was the name of the beach you were at for 3 months this year?
I typically don't put out the name of that beach since I spend so much time there.
Burning the holes pattern is genius!! Lulu you love smoked paprika, try growing paprika and making your own at home
The plant Paprika is derived from is a tropical plant, Lulu is in the NE.
Nice garden. Do you fertilize? If you get insects/pests what would you use?
I do not use pesticides and typically I never fertilize (other than using my homemade compost), but this year I may look into using fertilizer for better production.
@@LulusWay64 thank you. I'm just starting my first vegetable garden.
Did you see the mice at 6:15? Lol
That was a chipmunk. We share the yard with loads of them!!!
Hello, Lulu. What state is your garden in? I'm losing an argument here.
Massachusetts
@@LulusWay64
I was kinda close. I said NJ.
😉
Worried.... is it safe to plant seeds into soil you've just contaminated with melting plastic/ polypropylene into it?
Probably not, that black stuff should be covered with pea straw or similiar.
When its really hot the plants fry, that get too hot.
Buy hay, it might work...
Also the pH of the soil becomes more acidic when covered in black weed mat!
Each to their own!!
the plastic is just a thin layer at the top, and it singes to the edges of the circle, so the edge gets thick. any little bit of plastic that melts that doesn't make it to the edges, it clearly in sight, melted into a little bit, and just sits on top of the soil, it hardens in 10 seconds and you just pick it off. I think because of the fabric under the thin layer of plastic, the plastic melts on the fabric and the causes the melted plastic to not liquify and seep into the soil. that is what I see in the 2 second process of making those holes. I feel comfortable with it!!
yes, Steph, to each their own!! time will tell! 😊
