9:11 it has something to do with the blocks behind steve, he hit them when he got frozen
In the original Steve TNT clip, Steve hadn't landed on the TNT yet when he got frozen. Maybe that's the key?

As a Yoshi main, I literally didn't know this was possible, I always just assumed it was the worst move in the game.
It’s been known for years if you want to use it I’d only use it on plats so you can start egg roll quicker but if anyone tries it on me in the ditto I’m just stuffing it with nair
It's been basically one of the worst moves in Smash across all the games, this gives it a niche use finally.
People always talk trash about Egg roll but I’ve never seen anyone punish it ever 😂

Worst move in the game is probably Falcon Punch anyway. From a competitive point of view, otherwise is ironically one of the best moves

I’ve known about this since release and its only ever worked once. There’s no aerial hitbox unless you touch the ground first and jump after, so its too hard to set up for. Most people won’t hold shield against yoshi anyways bc of down b and neutral b pressure.

When you tested the 9:04 clip, you didn't ever show trying increasing the damage on Steve. It looks like to me that the TNT does launch Steve, but due to the damage, the knockback isn't anywhere near as high.
i also noticed that steve is placing the tnt in the clip right before he gets hit by the freeze, so maybe thats a factor too
he bounced off the wall which i think is the main reason why it happened, nothing to do with the tnt or anything

The problem I see is that you need to have someone shielding at a ledge. The best use for it is definitely off of techchases, though in that example that guy had a good amount of time to react to the jump onto the platform

@@Eltrotraw you could just always use a multi hit move for tech punishes to create a habit from your opponent. As long as they roll they’ll pop shield eventually after being punished by the multi
@@fatherrussiaisyourking1442 Keep in mind the move has an obnoxious amount of startup unless you activate it on a platform like in the clip. That limits its usefulness even more since if you try it at ledge like BSD did, this gives them more time to react.
I'll understand it has merits, however my point is that it doesn't really save eggroll from being a niche move.

A reserve is like an area that holds an excess of something for a specific purpose.
So, a water reserve holds excess water that the city can use in special times of emergency.
An Animal Reserve has excess land that is used to maintain and preserve wildlife.
A Twitter Clip Reserve would be like twitter clips that you didn't use in the past but might still be cool to watch.
Imagine MKLeo picks up Yoshi and does the shield break technique to everyone.

For the steve thing, I'm sure you did a lot more testing than what was in the video but a few things that I noticed.
1. The characters both were over 100% so maybe rage plays a factor? (or you stay in ice longer?)
2. Steve hits the wall while still encased in ice
3. The tnt flew much higher (i think) meaning it got hit more times with the blizzard
4. Steve broke out of the ice just after hitting the wall
My theory:
Having high percentage made steve get knocked into tumble when encased in ice, the tnt kept steve in the air and built up some sort of speed and hit the wall hard enough to see tech indicators. Steve then broke out of the ice and with the stored speed flew off into the sky.
just imagine how much tech steve would no longer have if he just had block removed
Finally, Yoshi side-B has something that could be considered useful

Doods, "Reserve" means "To hold something for later." For example, having reservations at a restaurant means they are holding a table for you. That table is reserved for you. For the Twitter stuff, this use of "reserve" can also mean something akin to a collection. To have a reserve of something is to have a stock of that thing, usually for future use. In this context, vyQ's "reserve" is the stock of clips from Twitter, to be viewed on the show later.
I feel like I've seen that Yoshi shield break before but I might be tripping. either way looks a little situational, but maybe if you catch the opponent's neutral get up into shield... actually that seems really good oh god

Have you tried hitting Steve with blizraga as soon as tnt is being placed, it looks like there’s a moment when the tnt jumps up and I wonder if that’s what causes it

There are multiple hits of the move that are fairly strong. In the air, hitting the ground, and passing through.

Egg Roll being a useless move was just propaganda spread by Yoshi mains to throw you off their trail
i want the next smash game to have the announcer describe specific actions like "No Tech" when a player doesn't tech 2 or more times, or when a non-multi hit combo string is true the announcer says "True".
That would get absurdly annoying lmao.
You'd hear "True" like 50+ times a game

You could use "vyQ's Twitter Cache". It means basically the same thing as "vyQ's Twitter Reserve" but "Cache" is pronounced the same as "Cash" so it also sounds like money.

Optimal egg roll usage:
Make the green screen picture frame a different color or change the color of the background. Then the picturr frame can have a different image or whatever form of visual media you want.
For example, the background is normal. But the picture frame is a 10 by 10 array of c5 being sad when he loses questionable beef. So every position of the the picture frame is a different picture of c5 lmao.
